Kaleidoscopes.The items come packaged in a sealed transparent plastic bag and there are 12 in the set.For your pennies you get 12 kaleidoscopes that come in six different designs and colours.The toys are made from heavyweight cardboard that does not easily flex or deform and has a satin finish. The lenses are made from ribbed plastic and these are securely fixed at the objective end of each tube. Overall the construction feels robust and the quality appears to be very good especially for something made out of cardboard.I’m sure I don’t need to explain the workings of a kaleidoscope to the older folk in the audience but for the youngsters who never got to wake up to one on a Christmas morning ‘in the old days’ it’s basically an optical tube that contains coloured beads and mirrors in one end and a hole in the other which you look through. When held to the eye the tube creates a psychedelic visual effect that’s amusing for about ten seconds. You point the thing at a light source and turn the end, simple.I loved these as a kid and I’m sure little ones will still love them even in the age of tablets and smartphones. They are well made, have lovely colourful designs and the ends turn freely and easily. The optical effect is basic but enchanting and the toys are simple to use. An awesome little party bag filler or halloween treat.Me very likey.

I used to be very much into kaleidoscopes and collect the big expensive ones. Awesome. These little ones are suitable for a kid as a stocking filler. Or something to keep them quiet on a rainy afternoon or when travelling. The container is cardboard so do not let them get wet. The kaleidoscope itself is fine for a cheap small one.
