Worth Every Penny for Nervous New Parents
A genuinely reassuring device that gives my wife tremendous peace of mind overnight. It does exactly what it promises and generally delivers reliable performance. The companion app is a good and offers clear insight into our baby's sleep patterns, including REM cycles, wakeful periods, and more. The only minor drawbacks worth mentioning is that it very occasionally disconnects, which causes a brief flash of panic before you realise it's simply a connectivity blip. Fitting the sock correctly also takes a little practice at first, though it quickly becomes second nature. Overall, I personally think its expensive, but my wife considers the reassurance alone to be worth every penny.

Gives you peace of mind
I really can’t recommend it enough. We have used it for 8 months and it gives you so much peace of mind. I can see it using it well into toddler years specially at night. It has only given us 3 low oxygen alerts and I think 2 of them were real. It is a bit annoying when not getting the readings and I have read many people discussing that the app doesn’t follow the baby status so well. There is a lag in the app but the base is the main monitor. Children under 3 die mostly from respiratory issues, I see this monitor becoming a standard like a baby video monitor. It is another layer of protection but never use it against safe sleep practices. Keep baby cool and on their back in their own space as all guidelines say. Never use it thinking it will make up for unsafe sleep practices.

Not compatible with newer WiFi Systems. (Could not get it to work with Eero 6 Pro E)
As a new parent for a 3 day old baby, I was excited to get this set up and ready to use. The data it was going to provide through the app looked very useful and would have definitely given a peace of mind, especially for my partner who wanted to keep an eye on our baby 24/7. The first few steps of the process were quick and simple. To paraphrase: 1. Downloaded the app. 2. Followed the on screen instructions. i. Find the local wifi network for the sock and connect it to the home wifi. ii. Once connected to the home wifi, the phone has to find the device in the network- this is where it fell apart. After retrying 2ii several times unsuccessfully, which by the way the app itself admittedly prompts ‘might require several attempts’, I have decided to reset the device and repeat the process. This was also unsuccessful. I went to search the manual, and any sources I could find online to discover that they only connect to 2.4ghz frequency and suggests to set the router to exclusively operate on 2.4ghz while setting up the sock. Eero app fortunately had this feature available, where it temporarily limits all signals to 2.4ghz for 10 minutes. It was yet another trial and error ordeal. All to no avail. At this point, after wasting over an hour straight trying, I decided to calmly pack it up, not stress out about it anymore than I have, and process a return. Maybe take up voodoo classes I don’t believe in to get back at Owlet’s engineers. At the end of the day I may have made some errors, but I can’t see where and how from retracing my steps. I can only speak from my experience and I definitely do not recommend this product. This device was just not meant to be, it seems.

Honest review
Good but a little inconvenient just because if you leave the room to change the baby, it loses connection and wakes everyone up. If you unplug the base it beeps loudly, then you press it to turn it off and it starts beeping after another minute. Otherwise it monitors babys sleep reasonably well, though when I’m feeding him or hes awake and calm it will say he’s in a light sleep, so not 100% accurate. It’s worth it for the oxygen stats. I only use it when he’s unwell.

Not cheap, but worth every penny for the reassurance
I’ve been using the Owlet sock for 5 months now, My baby has worn it every night since he was born. Overall it’s given me a lot of reassurance while he sleeps. The battery life is really good and easily lasts through the night, which makes it simple to include in our bedtime routine. The device itself feels very good quality and the sock has held up really well with no wear or issues so far. It also looks quite sleek on the bedside table and isn’t an eyesore. I also travel with the owlet sock, it’s very easy to take with us. I just put it in his bag and set it up wherever we go, which makes it really convenient. For cleaning I remove the sock from the electronic sensor part. The sock itself goes in a wash bag and I wash it on a hand wash setting in the washing machine. The main device with the electronics, I just clean gently using a toothbrush with a bit of water and Fairy liquid, making sure not to get it too wet. You do have to pay for a subscription if you want a more detailed report, but I do think it’s worth it. It also tells you an estimated next nap time if you leave it on for longer periods, which is a new feature and has been really helpful. One thing to be aware of is that sometimes if I go downstairs with him still wearing the sock and leave the base station upstairs, it can trigger the alarm due to being out of range. So if you have a larger house, you may need to move the base station around with you. But I now only tend to have it on him during the night. We did have a couple of false alarms at the beginning, which were a bit scary but I’d rather have a false alarm than no warning at all. Since he’s got bigger (now 5 months old), we haven’t really had any issues or false alarms. Overall, it’s been really reassuring and easy to use and has become something we rely on every night. Even though the upfront cost and subscription are quite expensive.

For me, it’s now a must have
This was a product I didn’t originally plan on buying but I got it on sale so bought it. I would be absolutely lost without this item! It was a bit of a faf to set up and can sometimes disconnect to the wifi but that’s nothing when it gives you constant peace of mind! It alerted to me when my child was cold and floppy after her vaccines and my partner could hear it from the other room. It’s small and light weight and has good battery life! I would absolutely recommend this item to any parent who feels like they’ll have some anxieties with sleeping when their little one arrives. I’m so glad I bought this product!!

Must have a WiFi signal, must be charged everyday
This product has really helped me with my anxiety, I can now sleep better knowing my baby is safe. It’s fantastic value for money (we got this item on sale) it’s quite easy to set up and lasts up to 16 hours. It has 2 sizes of sock which is really helpful. You need a good WiFi signal for it to work as well as Bluetooth. It monitors breathing and heart rate too, it’s very accurate and also says when your child is awake, light sleeping or deep sleeping.

Very poor connectivity, awful app to use
There is no straightforward way to connect it to wifi, the app is very slow freezing multiple times. I had to contact support or return it An UPDATE! Finally, I was able to set up it , the app is extremely buggy ! Based on the following issues, I assume the product is either faulty or, if this is the way it works, then it is absolutely useless and goes against its advertisement that says parents get better sleep. Instead, I get much, much, much less sleep because of loads of false yellow alarms coming from the base during the night. While the base and the smart sock on the baby are less than 2-3 meters apart, during the night we randomly get multiple yellow alerts regarding difficulty reading the sensor or Bluetooth (BT) connectivity issues (the range between the base and sock is very close so very strange), and then it goes back to normal again! I cannot find a way to mute these kinds of notifications from the base and mobile app during the night, which causes a lot of disruption to our sleep. I had to completely shut down the base to get sleep! It seems the sock has become useless. Can you advise what is the solution to these issues?1- Why do I randomly get a yellow warning regarding difficulty reading (it can read again shortly after 2-3 warnings)?2-Why does the BT randomly disconnect, and again I get those annoying yellow warnings during the night? A nightmare! (It comes back again shortly after 2-3 warnings)3-How can I mute the yellow warning notifications on the base or mobile app? those false alarms are very annoying.

The best baby item I've ever purchased.
I have never been so happy about a purchase. With all of the controversy around an item like this, I am so beyond happy I purchased it. I was told I would have heightened anxiety by using it, that I would never stop checking the app, etc. But this item saved me while I was freshly post partum. I spent so much time worrying about falling asleep myself, because I couldn't stop checking on my newborn. I ordered this when she was a month old and she has never gone a night without it since (she's 1, and she will be giving it up soon for our newborn who is due in a few months). I have had no false alarms The app works great for both my husbands phone and my phone together (one of us has an android the other has an apple and the apps are different but work fine regardless). I can see my babies heartbeat, and the O2 updates every 10 minutes. So worth the price. We love it.

Amazing product!
My husband and I absolutely love the owlet sock! We have been using it since our baby was born and it truly gives us peace of mind during night time and naps! Although there are some “false alarms” which is never a danger (aka red low oxygen or heart rate) one but more so difficult reading (yellow) ones because of bad placement or when baby is kicking or moving a lot. We never ever really get difficulty sleeping (purple) alarms. People tend to give up because of these false alarms but the pros truly outweigh that issue and they decrease in time! Plus, the yellow and purple alarm sound is not as scary as the red sound. When our baby was first born, it was definitely a little harder since we were just getting used to it and learning how to use it, but now we got the hang of it and don’t get many alarms since we know how to properly put on the sock and we learned to turn the base off when we’re rocking her to sleep or changing her diaper in the middle of the night, then turn it back on once she’s asleep. It’s overall such a nice product, and it even comes with a size up sock for when they’re older! We got the pink color and it’s so cute. Cleaning the sock is easy. The app is easy to set up and use as well, we love that we can monitor her through the app, and see the sleep session recordings of when she’s awake, in light sleep and deep sleep are nice features. That way we know how much sleep she’s truly getting! Always keep the base nearby and do not rely of mobile notifications. We recommend this to all parents considering purchasing it! It’s worth the money.

Ayuda extra a primerizos
