This worked perfectly! Just make sure that you heat up the connection area with a blow dryer before trying to replace it. The heat makes it come right apart with ease.

Very well built, compatible with my Diamond Ultimate G Kirby vacuum hose purchased almost 20 years ago. Took a little muscle and grease to remove and install this onto the hose.

Easy to install.

My kids broke the hook piece that triggers the safety mechanism, so the vacuum wouldn't work at all when using the hose. I ordered this piece because it was quite a bit cheaper than replacing the entire hose. I marked it down one star solely for the price. I paid $19.50 for it, but still think it's overpriced. But hey, when you buy an over priced vacuum you should expect to pay more for the parts, right? It's a good quality piece - just pricey in my opinion. Easy to install. There's a good youtube video by PlatinumVacuum channel titled "How To Replace Kirby Hose End" that shows how to take the old one off and put the new one on. It took me less than 5 minutes.
