I bought this LED strip mainly to illuminate the patio and the edge of the ceiling, and overall it fulfills very well with what it promises, although it has some points to consider. The positive thing is that the 200 feet really pay off - it's more than enough to cover a large area without having to splice several strips. The brightness level is good, the colors are vivid, and the music sync feature is fun for evening gatherings. Connectivity via the app is stable while the phone is nearby, and the remote makes everything easier when I don't want to use the phone. I am also grateful that it has IP68 certification, because it has endured heavy rain without problems. The "rope" housing feels stronger than traditional thin strips. Now, areas to improve: Although it is waterproof, the adapter and controller part is not, so it's time to look for where to protect them well. The installation process requires patience; for the length and thickness, it is not as flexible as other thinner strips. When changing color or mode from the app, sometimes there is a small delay. In short, it is a very good choice for those who need a lot of length, good lighting and weather resistance, as long as care is taken with the installation and protection of the control module. Ideal for large patios, terraces and house edges.

Very nice and easy to use

I installed both of the 100 foot strands on to a food trailer. The install was very easy, though I had to apply clear silicone to the top of the lights to keep them from falling out of the flimsy slips. Though several reviews have said they have an adhesive strip on them, these did not, just the small plastic clips and very cheap tiny screws that tended to break off. After install, both strings worked perfectly. A month later, one of the strings totally quit working. These are marketed as outdoor lights but I wouldn't trust them to function properly for very long.

After I found the LotusLamp X app on the Google Play app store, it became much easier to do what I wanted with these lights. I find these to be far superior to the LED strips I had before, and they look better when transitioning around corners. Just have to be smart about how you're doing it and think it through. These have a Neon like glow to them, vs. the dots of the standard LED tape strips. They're more durable with their rubber exterior, and that also means it's highly water resistant, so you can use them outside. The two 50 foot lengths per box means it is long enough so you can wrap fully around most rooms. They require Bluetooth (like I said, I like the ***LotusLamp X*** version of the app) but it's easy to manage, set timers, and patterns, etc. Don't be afraid to use the clips either. I tried to make them stretch by using them about every 2.5 feet, but I was left with more than half. Whether this is for your house, inside or out, they should do a very good job for their price point and provide a fun atmosphere or decoration.

First some info that is missing from the description. The strip is 5mm x 15mm. So the output is along one of the thin edges. Second, for DIY this is a 4wire LED running at 24V (Gnd, data, clock, 24V). Third, the diffuser isn’t that great and you can see the individual LEad chips. Finally, it’s not bright at all. Indoors with room lights on you can’t really see this strip. In the end I would not recommend this strip except in limited cases where it is dark and you want a low profile solution.

The power adaper was missing.

The lights are gorgeous and outline the rooflines of my house beautifully. They look so perfectly nice and straight unlike many Christmas lights. I only use one color and steady on function which is all I wanted for Christmas decor. I will leave them up all year because they are invisible when off or in daylight. Installing the lights is a bit tricky with very small screws. Overall good. 😀
