I have a 20 yr old Lodge Cast Iron skillet. It has been used & abused by 10 children who never completely cleaned off food particles, never seasoned it properly and had soaked it in the sink with soap, so I had rust too. I have done the salt bath on the stove to get off the food, used SOS pads and nothing worked to clean my skillet. I also seasoned it with the food stuck on and the skillet ended up being a disaster. I was ready to throw it out & buy a new one. I came across these 3 items on Amazon to clean, scour and oil my skillet. Oh, but it is expensive, I thought. Well, a GOOD cast iron skillet is expensive too. So I thought I would give it a try. What did I have to lose, I was going to throw it out anyway. Oh my gosh!!! I cleaned it with the soap with a chain mail scrubber. Not too impressed with the cleaning. Next, I used the salt, hot water (a lil bit) and that chain mail scrubber. I have arthritic hands so I can't use a lot of pressure scrubbing. I was AMAZED at how clean the skillet got. I thoroughly rinsed it and couldn't believe there was NOTHING left on the skillet, not even the rust! I dried it completely and again was SHOCKED that I didn't have any black or brown residue left on the towel from drying. Then, I used the oil, just a bit like it says and spread it with a paper towel all over the pan, inside and out. I let that soak in while sitting it on a paper towel. It sat overnight. In the morning, my skillet looked brand, spanking new!!! No, I haven't cooked with it yet; but I will update when I do. All the other times I had "seasoned" my skillet, food would get stuck everywhere on it. So I am looking forward to seeing if this oil actually keeps the food from sticking.

My mom has had a cast iron skillet for ages and I bought this set to give it a clean and season again. She also recently bought a cast iron skillet that stated it was seasoned but not really. I used the products on both skillets and I am so glad I did. They look great and still work well even after washing a bit with the soap which I know most people who own cast iron skillets try not do often because of the “seasoning”. I just have to say, I feel confident now that it looks better, smooth on the cook area and also nice and seasoned still. I would recommend this product to anyone with a cast iron skillet that really wants to care for your skillet. I actually have recommended it to a friend who is dropping by tomorrow. I am going to show her the finished products. LOL. You won’t go wrong by getting this set.

Received product and item leaked thru box. But still a good amount left in bottle. Smells really good like citronella. Tried it on a freshly used cast iron skillet. Made cleaning a bit easier but I can see using this alot. Which questions me if value for money is worth it. I also tried salt to help loosen more stuck on food. It didn't do much so I don't know about that. Tried oil and their butter. Put pans in oven to cure. After about half hour it smoked a bit. Next day skillets still had some wet oily areas not absorbed. Probably not how its suppose to be used but hey 🤷🏻‍♀️. I'm new to how to properly care for cast iron so thought I try this.

This product is actually insane! I’m new on my cast iron journey and wanted to give my new set the best life i could, as well as restore some thrifted iron pans. I scoured the internet and stumbled here. These products are what your cast iron deserves. They are coconut oil based and have an almost powdered donut scent. The scrub took years of rust from forgotten pans and once they were oil coated and set to temper in the oven my home smelt like a tropical dream! I will be buying more of these products soon!

These have worked wonders in restoring my cast iron pan, and keeping it healthy looking. The Salt scrub is fantastic, and the soap works well without harming the coating. The oil applied afterwards smells great and is food safe! I've also used it to oil my wooden-cutting board. This was an excellent purchase and Im very happy with these!
