Exceeded my expectations!
I have been looking at these types of home gyms for many years. One thing that kept me from purchasing any that I looked at what the flimsy feel of the frame. I’m 6’ 3” and weigh about 240 lbs. I didn’t felt that the gyms I tried in the past wouldn’t work well for me or last very long. The GR8FLEX gym however not only met but exceeded my expectations. It is a solid and robust piece of equipment. There is no flexing of the rails or supports when I use it. I was an amateur power lifter for many years and one concern that I previously had was not being sure if there was enough resistance on these types of gyms to give me a decent workout. Well I’m now 57 years old with a lot of joint injuries. Heavy weights and the old programs are out of the question for me. I was looking for a home gym that would provide me with a great workout without beating up my body further. Since the pandemic took the option of going to the local gym where I primarily used machines to weight lift on, this gym very nicely replaces multiple stations at the gym. The workout I designed for my home gym is awesome and there is plenty of resistance for me. I get a great workout that keeps me moving and in shape right in my home. I honestly don’t see myself ever returning to the local gym again. Would I use this home gym to get ready for a powerlifting meet when I was younger? No. But can one build and maintain muscle while also getting a cardio benefit? Absolutely. PROS: the gym comes ready to use. It was packed extremely well. When the box arrived, there were holes in the sides from handling during shipping. NOTHING inside the box was scratched or missing. Hats off to the manufacturers for that. The box weighs over 100 pounds so be prepared for that and have a plan to get it to where you will be using it. The gym itself is a solid piece of equipment. I have it set up in a space where I don’t have to move it. You will not need any tools to get the gym setup and ready to use. There are plenty of exercises to do on it. One huge bonus for me was the squat stand. It is high enough for me to use comfortably. Other gyms of this type have much shorter stands that would have caused knee issues for me. Another huge bonus is the extras you receive that would cost much more with other gyms of this type. Everything is included with the GR8FLEX gym. There is more than enough resistance to build muscle and strength. Being tall, I have no issues getting a full range of motion while performing all exercises. CONS: while the glide board moves smoothly, there is a thunk, thunk, thunk, feeling from the rollers of the glide board. It almost feels like the rollers have little flat spots on them. This doesn’t affect my workouts at all but a better roller could be had. Aside from that, the only other thing I would change would be to make the glide board another 3” or 4” longer on the bottom. I’m tall and have limited range in one knee due to a few surgeries so this issue is not a knock on the design. I get around this small issue by supporting the foot on my bad leg by stacking it on top of my right. A few more inches on the bottom of the board would help me. Others with normal knee ranges will have no issues. I have seen others comment on cables getting stuck in the pulleys. This isn’t a problem for me. Take your time when getting set up and just lightly pull the handles to get some tension on the cables before putting your full weight on the glide board. Overall I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. The gym will replace a gym membership for me and allow me to continue to workout at home.

Nice machine came with a big chip though
Purchased this because we liked the reviews and the YouTube videos we found with both work outs and reviews. We also wanted to buy the accessories, but Amazon didn't carry those. We decided to buy the work out machine at Amazon because we have prime and there was free shipping. We purchased the accessories from the manufacturer. My only small complaint was there was a big chip even when it was packages well. My husband said, 'it's exercise equipment, it will eventually get chipped'. But I still thought when you pay that much you want things out of the box to look new. But what are you to do, repack and send back and hope the next won't have one? So I'll deal with the chip. My husband has been using the machine daily. I haven't used it yet, but it seems to be sturdy. It glides easily and there are so many exercise you can do with it. It's functional and easy to assemble. I think it was a great investment.

A Total Gym "killer"?
I will start by saying that I am very happy with my Gr8flex gym. I got mine before the price hike, so for me, it was a great choice. I replaced a 10-year-old base model Total Gym that I had received as a gift and had grown out of. I had looked at the TG Fit and just couldn't justify the cost. So, the Pros: This thing is built very well. The pulleys are very smooth and the rollers are the same. I thought the resistance bands would be a gimmick, but they are a great idea and work very well to give you that extra work out. The additional attachments are great. Dip bars, ab attachment, squat deck, and wing bars take this to the next level, fit great, and are sturdy. For me at least, another big pro is the customer service I received. I'll touch on that in a minute. The cons: I don't have many. The packing could be a little better as my unit has a few scratches from the pulleys. Some bubble wrap around them would be a big plus. The name labels were bowed and loose, so I pulled them off. Problem solved. I was missing the D-ring to attach the leg pulley. 3 of the plastic caps were broken on arrival. And last, the wheels had a flat spot. So the customer service. I had emailed a couple of times before my purchase to ask a few questions. I received a reply in an hour, and usually not more than a few hours. When I received my unit, I immediately emailed with photos of what was damaged and missing and included my shipping address. I had shipping confirmation the same day and received the plastic caps, D-ring, and 4 new rollers within a few days. I haven't received service like this in quite some time and was very happy. So, if you go into this purchase with the realization that you may have some hiccups initially, you won't be disappointed. Is this a TG killer? At the $1600 price point, I'd call it very strong competition, given all of the attachments that are included, as well as the resistance bands. At the $600 price point that I purchased mine at? Absolutely. I've used mine quite a bit since I got it, and this thing is great. I don't regret the purchase at all. If they could work out the kinks with the packing to prevent damage and better quality control on the wheels, this over a TG would be a no brainer. Also, if you're reading this Gr8flex...how about including an assembly/user's manual and a beginners workout book like TG has with theirs? To wrap up...a great machine, with great customer service (in my case at least) and, at the lower price, a great value for the price.

Overall, I don't think you can beat this machine for the price.
I've only had this a week or so so I will update if anything changes. When I got it, it had a few scratches but nothing major and not enough to send it back. The paint does scratch fairly easily though, but I had a feeling that would happen when I ordered it. It wasn't a deal breaker for me, given all the other pluses. Pros: This thing is VERY sturdy and the tower is the largest and tallest one I've seen other than the very top of the line Total Gym model, which is well over $3000. The glideboard is also a little wider and longer, which is nice because I'm always worried about my hair getting caught when lying down. The number and variety of attachments are great, and I love that they come with the pins connected to them so I don't have to worry about losing them. The best thing about it though, imho, is the squat stand. I almost bought that alone for my Total Gym Supra but by the time I bought all the other things I wanted it made more sense just to get the new machine. I can now do squats without my knees going past my toes and it's just much more comfortable. Cons: Doesn't come with instructions, but my questions were answered via email by the next day. The website is also very bare bones, which kind of concerned me, but I assume it's because this is a new product and they are getting it up and running. Gliding also feels "wavy" toward the bottom but it's not bad. I wonder if replacing the wheels might fix it but for now I'm not really worried about it. So far, the only other real con is that I had a very hard time getting the pins in when using the wing attachment at the bottom of the gym because the metal pieces that the resistance bands hook onto were in the way. Overall, I don't think you can beat this machine for the price. The attachments alone make it a great deal, and the machine itself seems to be well made.

Impressive build quality!
I took a chance buying this machine from a company that I had never heard of. But the positive Amazon reviews were overwhelming. But the main thing that swayed my buying decision in favor of the GR8FLEX was that in comparing to the TotalGym XL7 at $398.99, the closest match that I could find at that price point, they seem pretty close with respect to extra attachments. But the GR8FLEX at $388.00 comes with 15 resistance levels and if that's not enough, it also includes 4 rubber resistance bands that can individually be attached to the bottom of the glide seat for added levels of resistance, the TotalGym XL7 only has 12 resistance levels and no resistance bands. Then there is the Warranty. The GR8FLEX warranty covers EVERYTHING.(PERIOD). If "Anything" breaks on this machine, they will replace it. The build quality is as good as I have ever seen. It is pre-assembled and simply unfolds right out of the box. You just have to familiarize yourself with the attachments. While using, it is easy to adjust the resistance levels, the glide seat rolls smoothly and quietly on the rails. It is just a joy to use. And for anyone out there who has experienced the difficulty of trying to stay on an exercise routine and has never tried a body weight resistance machine such as this. I can only tell you that there is something magical about pulling your body up and down those rails that actually makes it fun. And if you can have fun exercising, you will keep doing it. Now you may ask, can this machine really give you a real workout? I am here to tell you . . . HELL YEAH!!! This machine will make your muscles BURN. But remember, you have 15 levels of resistance, just start on the low end and increase your resistance accordingly. Bottom line . . . I am very happy I bought the GR8FLEX and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to buy a high quality machine at an affordable price.

Excellent Machine with Excellent Customer Service!
I am 54 years old and have been resistance training for a very long time; Due to space and money limitations, I decided to go with this type of equipment for continuing my training. I was ALMOST going to simply buy a T.G. version of this type of machine, since I used to own one back in the 1990s and thought it was decent. But then I decided to start comparing the GR8FLEX with a comparable T.G. system and it just made more sense to go with the GR8FLEX, as it was much sturdier and a better overall value...the LIFETIME warranty was the final decision factor for me. Now I have owned and been using my system (please see picture) for just about 2 months and I am thrilled with it! Not only does it function extremely well and provides many different types of effective exercises, but the customer service has been outstanding. I have emailed the company with all sorts of questions and requests and they always got back to me in 1-2 days. For example, I also bought the extra resistance cables (20lb and 25lb type to enable even more resistance combinations); my latest email was a request for a set of cable fasteners to match the ones that came with my original unit. The company got back to me within one day, stating they went ahead and shipped me these clip-style fasteners to replace my carabiner style cable fasteners (at no additional charge to me!) - I am very impressed! I find myself being simply thankful I decided to go with this product/company!

Good Product Poor Assembly and Delivery
Sorry for a long review, but is worth the read. I hope it helps some of you. Compared to the competition this is a good product for about half or little more than half the price. I am disappointed in a few things but the first was the delivery, this is in regards to assembly and how it was packaged. In some of the pics you will see what appears to be brown or rusting portions, this was on the main post near the numbers, as well as seen on the back side of the seat. This was apparent after I had to disassemble the seat from the frame. It appears to be rust or dirt, I can't really tell. However, in any case it made me think this was stored in a warehouse somewhere and is possibly old. So, why did I need to take it apart? It appears that they wrap or package the seat prior to assembly. This requires the purchaser to have to unscrew or disassemble the entire seat from the frame in order to unwrap the plastic off the seat. Some might say this is great that they were thoughtful enough to cover the seat and protect it. Well, if that were the purpose, then send it already disassembled and let the purchaser unwrap the seat first instead of having to take it apart to remove the wrap. Wasted time. It was a good thing I did have to take it apart, however, as I then was able to find out that one of the larger hex head screws was stripped and doesn't do anything to hold the seat to the frame. See the pic of the screw that was stripped as well as the related video. Do they not have a QA team to look at these things before shipping? Finally, while needing to separate the seat from the frame I had to remove all smaller phillips screws along with the larger hex head screws. Everyone one of the hex screws should have been able to be removed by using an allen wrench. That would have been easy to do if each of the inside of the hex head was not stripped. There was not one that could be removed with an allen wrench. I had to use a Torx type head that would grip where the allen wrench would no longer work. Finally, the instructions are ok as you can somewhat figure things out by the pics, but not 100%. And the details in word were not enough. Also, there is nothing in the manual to tell you how to assemble the leg workout attachments. I guess it is just to be guessed by the new owner, maybe by video I can figure out how to assemble it by watching how it is used. One final complaint and then some good news. The side "silver", what appears to be a heavy plastic (maybe metal, but not quite sure), anyway the silver side strips are covered with a teflon type plastic to protect them from being scratched during shipping and set up, is my guess. Well, they are not the easiest teflon type strips to remove. Actually parts of them are still stuck on in small pieces but I am not going to worry about them. I would rather leave the little pieces on than to scratch the silver while attempting to remove it. Finally some good words, It does appear to be made of quality material, just a few things as mentioned above that needs to be improved upon. When you pay any amount for this type of product you would expect that all of these little flaws would not be present, and could definitely be addressed with just a few quality checks or changes in the processes pre packaging. I set it up last night in about an hour, assembly and moving to my room where it will be located. Sorry, one last thing, the floor pads they provide seem to be rather thin. I have some square pads that I paid about $15 for, for 6 and they will work much better than those provided. The company could thicken those up for such a product with this kind of weight in it and knowing additional weight will be on the equipment while in use. One thing I really look forward to is the overall number of exercises that can be completed on one piece of equipment. I hope this is helpful with both some good and constructive feedback. Goodluck on your purchase and enjoy. I gave the 3 rating because of all those things listed above. If those could be corrected I probably would have given it a 4 or 5 rating. Ok, one last thing I thought of, regarding shipping. I placed the order about a week ago, 7-8 days. I was initially told it would be delivered by tomorrow, or Wed of this week, which would have been about 8 or 9 days total. A day or two later, last Wed, I received an update that it would be delivered on Friday, so within the same week. It would have been only 4-5 days for delivery from the time it was ordered. Then on Thurs, a day before delivery, I received an update that it was going to be delayed until Monday. Monday comes and it was to delayed until Tuesday, or yesterday. Long story short, don't keep making changes to delivery time. Just stick to the original until you know for sure when delivery will happen. Again, good luck with your purchase and enjoy. Update, added one last pic showing the rust on the main post. Not sure what it was from but it came that way.

Damaged Old Stock
The gym machine was old stock showing rust and soiled areas. Upright was damaged , no instruction manual on how to install the unit and its many other items. Be careful if you purchase this item .

Purchased new recieved second hand by the looks.
I disliked the whole package. The machine was rusty and package was full of black dirt. The white setting had what looked like rust and mould marks over it and was extremely difficult to set up—not what the advertising was telling me.

Pictures don't do it justice
I have owned many iterations of the Total Gym and was nervous about straying but because I have a number of commercial pieces of equipment in my home gym I did not want to spend a large sum on a product that whilst very versatile is used for specific reasons. The GR8Flex in my opinion is far more sturdy than more expensive versions of the competitor, comes with a great array of attachments and has a lifetime warranty. The product arrived in a timely fashion and in good condition, the attached wheels make it easy to manoeuvre but it is a surprisingly heavy machine so opening it out for initial setting up is an adventure.
