Product Description Uniform Wares creates watches that embody character and distinction through intelligent design, not branding. Established in 2009, the company set out with a view to building a brand whose entire creative output was designed and developed exclusively in house. The result was a highly considered, new breed of premium contemporary timepieces that have made their indelible mark on the watch industry. Every Uniform Wares watch is designed and developed in its London studio, its parts manufactured by select international partners who share the company’s devotion to detail, and finally, assembled with care in Switzerland. Uniform Wares Cases Uniform Wares watch cases are designed with the highest level of attention to detail. This is a fine balance between being driven by the functional needs of the internal movement and ergonomic requirements and the final refinements being informed using age old design cues such as the golden ratio proportion. Uniform Wares Dials Diamond cut hands, hand applied batons and traditional pad printed dial indexing – just a few of the top-end specifications you’ll find in our M40 PreciDrive watch. Uniform Wares Straps Our strap collection is designed and developed in our London studio and produced by the best specialist manufacturers in Europe. We put the same meticulous attention to detail towards making these straps as we do every other component in a Uniform Wares watch. The core strap collection is made from a selection of carefully curated materials including high-grade caoutchouc rubber and smooth nappa leather. Uniform Wares Packaging When a customer purchases one of our watches, we carry out a series of finishing touches by hand. First, each watch is paired with a strap or bracelet from the curated options we offer. We then set the watch to the local time in the customers’ home country before placing it in a custom box that is part of our signature-designed packaging. These final important steps are the continuation of our devotion to detail that stretches the length and breadth of the watch’s journey from concept to delivery. Uniform Wares. The Collections M - Line Unmistakably Uniform Wares, the M-Line case design is an exercise in modernism. Its symmetry, proportion and legibility are uninterrupted by the seamless junction of the strap to the case. The M-Line comprises three ranges – the M37, M40 and M42. C - Line The C-Line case design is a contemporary interpretation of classic dress watches, where soft curves give way to sharp, low-profile geometry. The C-Line comprises three ranges – the C35, C40 and C41. PreciDrive Uniform Wares is the first independent watch brand to use ETA PreciDrive movements across an entire collection. PreciDrive are the most accurate quartz movements available utilising innovative thermo-compensating technology to give our M-Line collection a precision of +/-10 seconds per year, which is 10 times that of standard quartz movements. Review: Lovely unisex dress watch - This is a lovely timepiece, crafted with a simple display with hour and minute gold-rose dials. The absence of a second hand and date function adds to the simplistic design, whilst the sapphire crystal lens will protect it from scratchers and knocks. The Swiss quartz movement is silent, and whilst water resistant, I wouldn't recommend showering/bathing whilst wearing. I'd personally only wear a watch in the pool/sea/bath if it is advertised as waterproof, which this watch isn't. The dark blue rubber wrist strap is contrasted well against the rose-gold clasp, and as it is a light watch at only 150g you'll hardly notice you are wearing it. The unisex design means it is suitable for both sexes, my better half wearing it on a number of occasions. We've both had compliments at different times, so can say that it is a timepiece that is simply functional and attractive in its simple design.
