In not completely convinced that it is a good idea to give children guns to play with but I justify this by telling myself it helps hone their hand/eye coordination. I appreciated that you get 18 foam dart bullets so there are plenty spare because it's really easy to lose them. The gun is easy to use. However, the build quality feels a little flimsy and I am not sure how long it will last. Loading the darts is not complicated; however we did find that we did have regular problems with the darts jamming. The darts are soft and do not hurt too much if they hit you, although I would still only let children use the gun under strict supervision because I do worry about eye injuries. The toy is suitable for kids aged 8 plus. This age seems about right, I definitely wouldn't trust younger children with it.
