PHLUR Missing Person Body Oil, 4 Oz – Skin Musk Bergamot & Jasmine

This body oil is very light, low on the greasiness factor, and it doesn’t take much to make your skin feel soft. The pump is easy to use, and it is a quality product that is packaged well. The body oil has the effectiveness of a body powder with great staying power. It lasts all day, especially when you use it after a shower, but don’t let that stop you. Put it on anytime you want to treat yourself and you won’t be disappointed. It’s not your usual “vanilla” scent because it has depth to it so it doesn’t smell “cheap.” It smells so good! I get compliments every time I wear it. It’s my summer time staple. It’s not overpowering or offensive, and it surprises people as they pass by me. I usually get “wow, you smell good!”

Vanilla Skin: I love Vanilla Skin in every form it comes in, so I was really excited to add this oil to the collection. The scent is exactly what I hoped it would be. It smells just like the perfume and body mist to me: soft, creamy, woody, sugary, and very vanilla-forward. It sits a little closer to the skin than the mist or perfume, but it still has presence. The texture is one of my favorite things about it. It’s silky, lightweight, and feels more like a dry oil than a traditional body oil. It absorbs right into the skin instead of sitting on top, so it doesn’t feel greasy or heavy. It just leaves my skin looking soft and glowy. I especially love using it right after a shower because it really helps lock in moisture. With ingredients like squalane and ceramide-rich oils, it leaves my skin feeling soft, nourished, and moisturized for hours. Where this really shines for me, though, is layering. It creates the perfect base layer. Using this after my shower, before body mist or perfume, really helps my fragrances last longer. It’s especially beautiful under the Vanilla Skin mist and perfume, but it also works so well with other fragrances too. It really pairs with almost anything. The frosted glass bottle and nice pump make it feel just as luxe as the rest of the line. Beach Skin: I knew I needed this oil the moment I saw it. Phlur's body oils are so good. With this one though, I was honestly a little nervous about the shimmer. At my age, I don’t want visible glitter all over my skin, and I definitely don’t want it transferring onto everything I touch. Thankfully, this oil is nothing like that at all. It’s actually really beautiful. It gives the slightest bit of shimmer, but you only really notice it when the light hits your skin a certain way, and when it does, it’s so pretty. The oil itself feels really nice. It’s lightweight, sinks in quickly, and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling behind. It gives my skin a really pretty glow, and I smell really good. This is honestly the perfect body oil for summer. The scent is very beachy, but not sweet. I get the coconut, the salty ocean air, and that warm skin scent. It’s musky, salty, airy, and very solar, and it really does smell like a beach day. It just smells like sun-warmed skin. I love the shimmer, I love how soft it makes my skin feel, and the scent is perfect for summer. This is going to be an easy reach for me all season, and I’m so happy to add it to my Phlur collection.

10/10 one of my most favorite body oils ever, if not my #1 favorite. The vanilla skin line is by far my favorite vanilla scent over any other brand! Every product is amazing, but I was especially impressed with this body oil. I like how easy it is to apply as it goes on thin and spreads easily. The oil soaks into the skin leaving a subtle glow without being too oily or staining clothing. Yes, it is expensive but in my opinion it’s worth every cent. A little goes a long way and you’ll be able to enjoy this for a long time (even if you use oil daily like me)

Absolutely love this body oil ! Super long lasting . Easy to apply and not greasy to the touch after application. Light weight but very good consistency/ non watery.

Great oil not sticky and is very fragrant. And so much in a bottle. The only reason is one less star is for the scent it’s definitely a mature and strong scent. Idk how to describe it but it just wasn’t for me. I wanted to love it so much cuz I love the formula but I couldn’t get used to it. Even after using it it lingered for hours and you can keep layering the oil and the stronger the scent got

I absolutely LOVE this body oil. The scent is soft, clean, and somehow manages to be cozy, fresh, and a little luxurious all at the same time. It makes me want to keep sniffing my own arm, which probably looks a little odd in public, but I'm willing to accept that. It absorbs beautifully without leaving me feeling like I was basted for Thanksgiving, and it leaves my skin feeling silky smooth with a gorgeous glow. Fair warning: people may suddenly stand a little closer when talking to you. Whether they're captivated by the fragrance or just wondering why you smell so amazing, I'll never know. Five stars. If I ever go missing, just have the search party follow this scent.

⭐⭐⭐☆☆ Let's start with the positives because this body oil absolutely deserves some credit. The formula is fantastic. It absorbs beautifully, doesn't leave me feeling like I basted myself for Thanksgiving, and my skin felt soft, moisturized, and healthy all day. It also has impressive staying power because the scent hangs around for hours. Now... about that scent. The fragrance is called Missing Person, but nowhere on the bottle did it mention that the missing person was my grandmother, MiMi. The moment I put it on, I was transported straight to a retirement community bingo night. This smells like an 80-year-old woman who just bought a sequined blouse and announced she's "still got it." It's giving floral perfume, hard candy in a purse, and unsolicited life advice. For the price, I was hoping to smell like a mysterious woodland goddess. Instead, I smelled like MiMi heading to Sunday brunch after getting her hair set. To be fair, this isn't just me being dramatic. I made my bestie Jen try it too, and she agreed the formula was amazing... but the scent was not for us. And if you know Jen, you know she doesn't lie. Frankly, if Jen says it, it's basically peer-reviewed science. Would I recommend it? Absolutely... if you're looking for an incredible body oil and happen to love vintage floral fragrances. As for me, I'll probably be back in about 40 years when I naturally evolve into the target demographic. Until then, MiMi can keep this one.
