I bought this guitar because I really liked the modern, minimalist design. It looks unique compared to traditional acoustic guitars and has become a nice piece to leave out instead of putting away after every use. I haven't played guitar in years, and this made it easy and enjoyable to pick the hobby back up. The strings that came installed were surprisingly good. The included carry bag also looks great and well made. I carry the guitar around quite a bit, and I've found that taking it in and out of the bag doesn't require much retuning. The tuning stays remarkably stable, which makes it easy to pick up and play whenever I have a few minutes. My studio is in the basement, so humidity can fluctuate throughout the year. The carbon fiber construction was one of the main reasons I chose this guitar, since it should be less affected by temperature and humidity changes than a traditional wood guitar. One thing that gave me confidence is that I already had my first accidental drop with it. Thankfully, it survived without any issues and was still perfectly playable afterward. While I definitely don't recommend dropping it, it was reassuring to see that it held up well. I still need more time to explore the built-in effects, but so far they seem promising. Without the effects turned on, the sound feels a little smaller and softer compared to a traditional acoustic guitar. That said, for casual playing and practice, I've been enjoying it a lot. This guitar is definitely not cheap, but so far it has lived up to the quality and expectations that come with its price. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase.

I have been playing electro acoustic guitars for about 30 years, I bought the Lava Me Air because of the amazing YouTube reviews, which sounded really good! The guitar was almost unplayable out of the box and the pick up system sounded terrible!. As a result of my experience I left a very negative review! However, much to my surprise Lava Music reached out to me to see if they could resolve my issues! They did a service upgrade providing me with a replacement, the Lava Me 4 Spruce. This was a completely different experience! With some minor tweaks to the action it plays very nicely, sounds warm and rich and is a beautifully finished guitar. Even without the effects turned on, this guitar sounds and performs very well. Compared to other acoustics on the market of a similar price, the guitar is well worth its price, you will not be disappointed!

This is my third lava me guitar, but this one really exceeded my expectations. Like the previous lava me guitars, the lava me air maintains its excellent built quality and lightweight design that I've come to love from this brand. What sets this model apart is that it's noticeably slimmer, making it perfect for long jam sessions. The acoustic sound remains outstanding. The built-in effects are a fantastic bonus. I really like the convenience of turning on the sound effects by just pressing down the knob, I would say it’s a simple improvement from the lava me 3 but brings tremendous convenience. The knob also lights up with different colors corresponding to each sound effect, making it easier to select and switch between them. The end of the neck also lights up along with the knob, which looks really cool. The only thing I wish to have on this guitar is the looping feature from my Lava Me 3. But even without it, the lava me air feels like the future of guitars. If you're considering an upgrade or looking for a versatile, high-quality instrument, this is it. Highly recommend!

I wanted the full touchscreen experience but for me the price was too steep so I bought the AIR version. The sound is amazing and the build is solid. Two things you want to do once you get this guitar. Replace the strings with a reputable brand and adjust the string action for the clearest sound. Because I found that the maker doesn't explain string replacement well, they can be pulled out and fed through the bottom of the bridge pretty easily when replacing. This is the one guitar I can travel with and because its thin and small I can sit back on the couch and play it with comfort. I have a few guitars and while they sound great I can't say they're comfortable. This one is. Don't count much on the app with this brand. Its probably only good for software updates and thats about it. I think the app was meant mainly for units with touch screens.

Straight up did not order this guitar and I have no idea why it showed up. Quality and playability do not matter because this guitar has a ridiculous flaw - you cannot replace the internal battery when it dies. This company does not deserve anyone’s business. These guitars are made to be shipped - everything else is an afterthought. Junk.

I was expecting a little more volume and less useless tones. Great idea but a good parlor guitar beats it in overall sound projection and quality

What a fun little guitar! I was skeptical because of the price point, but went ahead and got one. Once it came in, I made some adjustments and had it playing really nice within a few minutes. Just to note, it has a truss rod! The effects were pretty impressive. It’s very lite due to the carbon fiber body. It included a tuner and other accessories as well. It looks like I will have to buy another one, as my son has taken this one and refuses to give it back. Will probably go with the newer smart one this time. Lots of fun!

Loving it. Just got it and practiced a few minutes on it without testing all the features. It’s a bit heavier than my Lava Me 2 guitars and probably 1/3 skinny as well. I remember Lava Me used to include their cool looking pics with their guitars but this particular model did not come with any. I do like the stylish carrying case better than the previous generation because it now includes a pocket where you can store your capo and pics. Overall I love it so far. Good sounding and fret board is the same as the lava me 2 36”. Feels quite premium.

Cool idea, neat features, love the carbon finer construction. But this guitar is not even close to intonated. It is unplayable if intonation and pitch matter. I’ll have to return it and get something else, unless mine was just a lemon. I’d try it again but the one I have can’t be played in tune.

op zich een heel leuke en mooie gitaar waar de zoon veel plezier aan beleeft. Alleen jammer dat de snaren onmiddellijk gesprongen zijn. Deze zijn helemaal niet van kwaliteit! Na contactname met de klantendienst, boden zij ook niet echt een oplossing aan. De klantendienst van Amazon is hier echter wel in tegemoet gekomen, waarvoor mijn dank!
