Superb value for money, excellent sound and comfort
As an owner of the original Melomania 1 in-ears, I was excited to see Cambridge Audio announce their first over ear headphones. Wonderful soundstage considering the closed back design, and a satisfying neutral profile out of the box. Noise cancelling works well in most environments, drowning out droning tones such as train engines with ease. I find the cups sit tight enough on the ears that the ANC isn't necessary for everyday background noise. The build quality is exceptional and feels premium in the hand and on the head. The swivel and flex to the headband provide ample opportunity for a good fit, and the phones sit comfortably on my head for hours at a time. Physical buttons located on the bottom edge of each earcup make changing volume and the like an easy task. The battery life is exceptional, with my pair not needing a charge yet since I bought them despite frequent use across plenty of commutes. The microphone quality is great and perfectly usable for phone calls and voice notes, with the clear voice technology working well to remove wind sounds and such. My only complaint would be that Google Fast Pair doesn't seem to work as intended, given that even when paired and in use I'll get pop ups to pair the headphones with my device and following that prompt, an error when trying to autodownload the app. However, other than this hiccup they work flawlessly. Highly recommend.

Melomania P100 delivers exquisite wide range and precise sound into your ear.
Melomania P100 not only delivers exquisite wide range and precise sound into your ear, they work seamlessly in the real world - chappeau to the engineers that made a set of highquality headphones and then put the appropriate electronics inside with such a simple, elegant way of operating them, it just relieves you of stress, so you can pick up the head set, put them on and ive into a weightless sound environment. The 100 hours battery life, is on the safe side, it's probbaly more, I've been using them as delivered, for a week at least 8 hours a day, and the battery has gone from 80% to 64%. But the sound quality, didn't i mention that. It's as perfect as you're going to get, because the bluetooth is so rock solid and the sound system immaculate. Not many purchases these days live up to expectation, let alone go beyond. The Melomania P100 headphones are way beyond. I had previously used very high end earpieces from the extremely expensive sound specialists (I'm sure you know the ususual suspects). The whole technology of these overpriced sound specialists of sound delivery using bluetooth, wifi, ANC, transparency, clear is generally very low grade, I mean, it has to deliver the signal and work, before you can judge the sound? Anyway I digress. They're light, you don't feel them because the cushioning so gentle. All the packaging is 100% recyclable, so you don't feel like a plastic junky, it's all compostable! The packaging design reflects the product. Simple, extremely intelligent, robust and does exactly what it promises. I haven't found anything I dislike, or can find to be critical about. Cambridge Audio have really cracked it. Bravo! If I could give a 10/10 for probably the best headset I've ever used, I would.

Such a great idea, just not executed quite as well as I would have liked.
It has become a very solid daily driver, however if I knew certain things about it I would not have bought it. So the main reason I bought it is because it can be repaired and have the batteries replaced, the sound quality is there, the build quality is honestly very average but they are comfortable to wear because they are light. The battery life is FANTASTIC. They look fairly minimalistic, which I prefer to anything that appears flashy. They are good value for money if you look at the other upper mid range headphones in the same price bracket. HOWEVER, My biggest gripe is the hinges holding the earcups to the headband. It is metal to plastic, and that plastic will eventually break if you use them regularly. The only reason this doesn't doc more points for me is because honestly every other headphone manufacturer is doing the same annoying thing for planned obsolescence... But at least Cambridge audio allows you to repair it yourself and not have to buy a whole new pair of headphones. And the other big annoyance is the noise canceling. there is this very strange noise that plays around your music which I've never had with any other pair of ANC headphones and from what I can tell I'm not the only one that has had this issue. It's not background noise from your surroundings, it's not noise from your device, it doesn't play when ANC is turned off, it is the noise that is playing that makes ANC work in the first place I think. I think this COULD be solved with software updates, but I really hope if this isn't fixable they make sure this issue is not there on the next pair of over ears they make simply because I love the direction this company is making. Summary: Sound quality - 4/5 Comfort - 4/5 Right to repair - 10/5 The only headphones I know which actively ENCOURAGE you and can guide you in fixing things yourself! Build quality 3/5 as someone who used to buy Senni Momentums (all metal headband and hinges with metal earcups) I would actually rate this a 2/5 if the rest of the market wasn't just so bad. ANC - 2/5 Good at actively getting rid of background noise, but the strange staticky noise when ANC is turned on is so off putting. Value for money - 4/5 You can repair it yourself, but I would still rather have bought something more durable with better ANC. I REALLY REALLY REALLY Want this company to keep going on this idea, I eagerly await their next pair with hopefully a little more refinement. But for now it's a great idea, a good product just lacking polish.

Great sound and active noise cancelling
I've been enjoying the m100 earbuds for the past few months so I thought I'd try this new P100. I'm very pleased with them, the sound is lively and engaging, like most people I have an eclectic taste in music and find that the P100 suits a very wide range of music styles. The sound is very clear, sounds are well defined so instrument separation is very good. Bass is deep and robust but does not dominate the sound. I use the default "flat" EQ preset. I've used many good quality active noise cancelling headphones and find that there is always some variation in the performance between models but the best products have similar performance. The P100's noise cancelling is about as effective as the top tier and significantly higher priced ANC products. I also own the Sony wh-xm4 and wh-xm5. Connection stability is very solid using Aptx Adaptive set to best quality with my Sony phone. I don't make or take calls with this type of product, I don't seem to be able to speak without pressing a phone to my ear, so I can't comment on this aspect. I find the P100 very comfortable, they don't get as warm as other ANC headphones I've used. I have very regular size ears and they have plenty of room in the ear cups, they don't touch the mesh over the drivers if I take half a second to make sure I have them on my head correctly. The P100 is noticeably heavier than the Sony wh-xm5 which is a very light headphone. I don't regard higher weight as an indicator of better quality or robustness though it does feel like a quality product, time will tell how they hold up. I am surprised at how much I like having physical buttons rather than a touch pad, it's so much easier to adjust the volume, skip track, pause and play etc. You get a 3.5mm to USBC cable for a physical connection to an audio source which works as it should though I will probably only use it on the very rare occasion when a Bluetooth signal is either unavailable or weak. The hard case is very good. I also use wired headphones and IEMs with audio gear at home, I can enjoy music with headphones like the P100 just as much. I'm very pleased with the P100.

No brainer!
Packaged nicely, build quality of these is fantastic, I find them very comfortable to wear. As for the sound, WOW! There is depth and space in the music, it’s like being in the studio during the recordings. You can hear every instrument and the technique of the musicians. You can tell that these are made by a specialist audio company and not a big electronics firm. I can’t recommend these enough, and for the money you won’t be disappointed.

I really like them, but...
Strangely I really like them, despite the stars. I wanted non U.S. product which is what led me to these. For the price the noise cancelling is not good enough AT ALL, but for some reason I've come to like it all the same. The volume buttons are useless, again ESPECIALLY considering the price, I just use the volume controls ony phone. I really like the sound quality, the design, and the feel of them when being worn. I love (and this was a key selling point for me) that the battery etc are replacable, I just don't know if that 'replacement' would be affordable and so, worthwhile, yet. It suffices, but for money I'd expect better, especially having used my daughter's German headphones which were less than half the price.

Sublime
After a few years of daily use, my AirPods Max passed away, and I started the hunt for some headphones to live in when I am home. These ended up being my choice, and they sound divine, I also own a pair of Sony WH-1000MX5, and these knock them out of the park in regard to sound quality. The highs are there, not quite as sparkling as my Sundaras, but still they are there. I would not describe these as bass canons by any means, but the bass is there as is the sub bass, and it is done really well. In fact, it can be far more obvious in these than my Sonys. Take Avril Lavigne's Sk8er Boi as an example, there is a wonderful bit of sub bass early on as she begins to sing, in my Sonys, this is barely audible, with these, it makes your heart stop. The best part is, I can listen to these wandering around the house, then I sit down at my laptop, and connect the headphones to that with a USB-C data cable and the sound moves up to the next level. The battery life is amazing, I have used these heavily for days at a time and even after a working week, they are still at over 60%. Most of the time, ANC has been on. Another great thing about the battery, is that these are user replaceable with a kit from Cambridge Audio. The ANC is okay, there are better headphones out there for ANC, but it is still pretty reasonable. Certainly for home use. These are a real hidden gem of the headphone world. Just get that order in, your ears will thank you.

THANK YOU CAMBRIDGE AUDIO YOU KNOCKED IT OUT THE PARK, IMHO
I had the P100 which I thought were brilliant and astonishing value, sadly my sister sat on them and broke one of the stems holding the cup. I have asked CA if its possible and economic to repair them and await an answer. I decided to buy the new SE model and have been listening to them all day. I don't know how CA manage to sell these for £200 because the are astonishingly good. I have owned Sony and B&W and these are so much better, astonishing sound quality, great base, very comfortable and good looking. The upgraded app is a big improvement, I accept that they don't fold and I'm not really bothered about that, I took the P100 to Egypt last year and it wasn't a problem. I own a pair of very expensive IEM's and they are really good but they are 7 times the cost of these. I listened to the 12 inch version of Bob Marley, Waiting in Vain and even at 73 years old they gave me goosebumps.

Great value for the money
I was looking for over the ear replacements for my AirPods Pro’s, after a lot of research someone recommended these to me. For daily driver use, the P100 is a great choice. They aren’t too heavy on the head and they don’t squeeze the head too hard. They come with a nice hard side case, which is nice but could be a little bulky for travel. A slimmer travel option would be a nice addition even if purchased separately. Also included is 2 cables USB-C->USB-C and USB-C->3.5mm. The earcups, made from vegan leather, are pretty comfortable and easily replaceable. They can make my head a little sweaty if it’s a little warm out. I haven’t seen any different materials for these available yet, hoping that changes, either from Cambridge or 3rd party. The sound quality is enjoyable. The app has an adjustable EQ as well. It is a closer sound stage than I would like, but that comes with closed back earphones. I have a set of open back for special situations. I think the sound can be a little on the cooler side, but with some EQ adjustments you can get it where you want it. They are not bass heavy, but I find the bass pretty neutral overall which I prefer. The app has all the settings available including a few layers of ANC and transparency available. There are tactile buttons on the headset as well which I like a lot. Batteries are user serviceable and affordable. I really like this being an advertised feature as well. The battery life is insane. I am very impressed by the life and still have yet to charge mine. The packaging is a simple pull strip and sleeve design. No plastic or twist ties. In fact I reuse the cardboard sleeves for the cables and I love that. There is a lot of environmentally conscious decisions made in the design of these. If that’s important to you, look no further. While I have the ANC can be a little weird I have only noticed that using that 3.5mm cable. It may be a setting on my part, but could also be fixed through updates. So I’m not overly worried about it. There is a card included listing button press control. I need use it more to figure out the best way to use the buttons. Some in app button customizations would be a nice touch as well. For the money I feel these punch a little above their class and don’t get recommended as much as other more popular ANC headphones.

Et finir sur Les 4 saisons jouées par Sir Neville Marriner dirigeant The Academy of St Martin in The Fields.

Underbart ljud, otrolig batteritid
