I bought this to make my own crispy garlic in chili oil. It is a beautiful color and aroma while not being spicy hot. Super delicious umami addition to my culinary adventures! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this chili powder!

I like using this brand of Gochugaru ,you can control how spicy you want it to be when making Kimchi or using it for Hot Pot or just for any food that you want to spice up a little bit.

This is a flavor packed pepper flake that is right at home in my stir fries and kimchi recipes. It smells good and not overpowering. The heat level is lower than expected even if eating straight. The quality is excellent and it has great cooking ability. This was one of the best values I saw. In my experience, I needed less of it than the kimchi recipes called for. The color was my favorite part of it! Next time I will likely make a batch that I spice up a lot extra, even these these flakes are am absolute must is you're making kimchi!

Loved finding this in bulk, makes is a good buy. I like to make kimchi and I need this particular chili and couldn’t find it anywhere locally. It has a potent heat level so I don’t use as much as I normally would to get the taste needed. My son likes our kimchi to be red this one ticks that box for us.

Absolutely tasteless. We make kimchi regularly and usually use a different brand of gochugaru. I cheaped out this last time and bought this brand. It did nothing but color the kimchi red and cover your teeth in red flakes. No flavor, no heat, and had a weird texture, like flaked plastic or paint. Save your money and avoid this one.

I decided to make chili garlic onion crisp at home since the little store bought jars were getting expensive. Spent a whole half day prepping and cutting everything. Used these red pepper flakes in the recipe and the bag smelled so good. The quality seems to be great, uniform chili flake size and no clumps. This hopefully will be cheaper for me in the long run value for money wise since I eat it like I’m going to the electric chair. The resealable foil bag looks to be great for keeping the product fresh until I make another batch. Very flavorful and I will use it in kimchi next. Greta product! I’d buy again when the time comes.
