| Storage Information | Mealworms can be kept for several weeks under the right conditions. For bulk sacks of mealworms, on arrival transfer your loose worms into a shallow, smooth sided tray or tub and add some food (progrub). We recommend you do not keep the mealworms more than 1” deep. If a lid is used ensure it is well ventilated or your mealworms will become damp. Mealworms should be stored in a cool, dark well-ventilated space. If they are stored at the ideal temperature of 8-10 degrees centigrade, they will last for several weeks. For tubs of mealworms all you need to do is ensure they are in a cool environment as they come with food. Mealworms can also be stores in the fridge. |
