XCEED EX36CGT 36V 30cm Cordless Grass Trimmer

Easy to assemble, battery life is not too bad although it depends on the length of grass. If very long grass (9” or longer) then you get approx 30 minute runtime. Shorter grass will get you approx 45 minute runtime. The strimmer wire auto feed works very well.

I love it. Does exactly what I need it to, easy to use, lightweight, battery lasts about 20 minutes. I’d recommend.

I have had a very good Qualcast 25cm, 18v battery strimmer for three seasons, but needed a more powerful machine with more stamina. The Xceed seems to be the answer, as the 36v battery provides about an hour of use and has a 30cm cutting circle. Just like the Qualcast, it has wheels for use when edging a lawn, which is so beneficial, and takes a line diameter up to 1.65mm. I have no hesitation in recommending this great value product.Now in its third season, and still performing as it did when new. Nothing has broken yet!

The first item was returned unused because a part on the handle snapped. The replacement item was returned as the battery would not charge. The second return cost £13.14. I don't recommend this product, in fact I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. Will use said barge pole to beat down the undergrowth instead, might even get a better result, and it won't leave me out of pocket. A note on the instuctions booklet. Badly thought out, somewhat confusing and came with so many warnings ( 11 on one page ) that you really have no option but to read everything to find the relevant sections just on how to fix the guard attachment. Not that reading the booklet isn't a good thing, but there were warnings on the warnings. Good points.....Packaging, and weight. That's it. Can't coment on how it worked, because I never got that far.You have been warned... me, I'm looking for a barge pole.

Contrary to other reviewers, the strimmer came well packed and was complete. However, although it trimmed the first 2 metres of a bed well, after then horizontally strimming around a long line of bushes, when I went back doing some more edging I found I only had one wheel left. Looking at the shaft it looks as if the press washer wasn't properly applied as there is no way the one on the other end was coming off. The wheel must be somewhere under all the bushes but after a lot is scrabbling around I couldn't find it, otherwise I would have just super glued it back on.But like the people who say they can't get replacement batteries I was very disappointed with there so called help line. After answering the usual questions it simply announced that if my product is under one year old I should pack it up and return it to the retailer.I suppose in this world of waste it is 'more economical' to have a recorded message directing me to a procedure to effectively replace the whole strimmer than to employ someone to answer the phone and send me just a wheel and a washer. Never mind the environment and the loss of jobs.The sad thing is that otherwise this appears to be excellent value.

I have only used it once to test it out. Really easy to assemble and to use. Tried it on meadow type grass that was slightly wet. Brilliant. Had it sent direct to Greece and it arrived in time and safely.
