Heavy duty
Excellent toilet seat. All instructions enclosed, not hard to install. Looks like a million dollars. Very sturdy. Has a unique feature, you can easily remove the seat to clean it and the toilet thoroughly. I'm very impressed with this toilet seat.

How the heck can I be so excited about a toilet seat?
First off, I find it interesting that "comfort" wasn't one of the options above for the features I was to rate. I mean, when it comes to toilet seats, what's more important than comfort? Now I don't know if I've ever had a comfortable toilet seat before, so this was a very nice surprise. "Huh, I can read the whole book sitting here" is what immediately went through my mind. So I had never once even thought about replacing my toilet seats. Conveniently, about three days before we all had to quarantine for COVID-19, a co-worker from Brazil was going on about how she can't understand why Americans don't use bides and how disgusting that is. I was pressing her for more information because I've been thinking about getting a bidet for quite some time, and I learned a lot about toilet hygiene from her. For instance, she said that she usually replaces here portable bidet and toilet set every 3-4 years. Whoah, what? You can replace toilet seats? Of course, once I learned that, replacing both of my old, crappy toilet seats became one of my top priorities. Oh, and I ordered to bidets as well. They haven't arrived yet. I couldn't have been happier. I get a smile on my face now every time I walk into my bathroom. A couple of notes: I love how the parts were packaged. They were pre-assembled in the order that they needed to be when the final assembly was done. This made the assembly extremely easy, and it also made it extremely difficult to lose parts. Let's talk about lost parts. I get leery every time I buy something that is pre-fabricated because there always seems to be a missing part or a part that doesn't line up properly. I've learned my lesson here. The best course of action when dealing with a missing part is to immediately ask for a return because sellers *will* string you past the deadline on the return policy and then refuse to help. That's happened twice. Bath Royale did a good thing here by putting a huge note in the box saying "HEY! If you're missing parts, we'll send them to you for free! Just contact us here:" To me, that shows, right off the bat, that I'm dealing with a reputable company. The adjustable seeds for the pegs is also a nice touch. However, if I do have one negative thing to say, lining them up so that they are symmetrical was the most difficult part of the installation. I had to detach and re-attach the seat a few times to "break it in". If the holes in the hinge aren't lined up, it does pose a problem. And one of mine apparently came with the holes not lined up. Once I got it installed, though, everything is wonderful. And the second one was much easier. The- slow-close lid is cool, and it is extremely easy to clean for people like me who are strict about keeping the bathroom clean. This was a big win. EDIT: I wanted to post an update based on the comments from the manufacturer. This toilet seat is advertised as not being compatible with a bidet attachment, and I would not recommend purchasing this toilet seat if you want to use a bidet attachment. I was able to quickly figure out why they advertise it as not being compatible with a bidet attachment. I'm not going to post details because I would prefer to avoid getting anyone else to make the purchase and then possibly void whatever warranty this product comes with. I was, however, able to figure out a modification that will allow it to work nicely. Still a big win, but now I know that the next time I"m in the market for a toilet seat, I need to pay careful attention to this detail. I had not imagined, in this day and age, that a manufacturer would sell a toilet seat that is not compatible with a bidet attachment, but I'm still quite happy with this purchase.

Not your big box standard easy close toilet seat that comes with the toilet
The Amazon box was on my front porch. I brought it in the house thinking I must have gotten more than I ordered. This seat is much heavier than the one I'm replacing. This is good. The plastic one that came with the toilet was self closing and was nice but it was flimsy. It tended to move and need tightened periodically. After 2 years it would no longer self close and we were again BANGING the lid closed. Once you get use the the self close you find you are banging seats at most other locations forgetting that not everyone has self close seats. I assumed it would be a quick install and it was but I was shocked to see a 4 page instruction sheet with large pictures taking me through every step. It was VERY clear and easy to follow. This was not written by a novice but a professional writer who knew his product. I read the instructions twice and started the install. I pulled the old lid and found that the housekeeper, who does an excellent job, had not gotten all the crude around the bolts on the old lid. I used a spray cleaner and made the toilet squeaky clean as the instructions said. I installed the bolts, measured the 4 3/4 between the posts as needed. I installed the lid after moving the posts slightly as I must not have been exactly 4 3/4. It takes two hands to set the seat and was a little hard as the seat somewhat heavy. The lid snapped into place and I was set to go. It is easy to remove and reinstall the seat for cleaning around the bolt covers. I suspect that is going to be my job from time to time as the housekeeper probably won't remove it. We'll see what happens. I searched the web for this seat and Amazon was the best price. Almost all other sellers were significantly more expensive. I could not find it in my local big box stores (3 of them) This is definitely a premium seat that should last longer than the house. I've only had it one day and really like it. It is very well engineered and is made of premium material. I cannot say enough about the great instructions. I'll give it a little time but I have two more toilets that I will soon be ordering this seat for them.

Great toilet seat
I don't often shop for a toilet seat but when I buy one I want a sturdy one that doesn't slip or feel cheap. Going to the big box stores to look first I saw a bunch of cheap looking seats. Then I found this on-line and liked the reviews, and though more expensive then others, I gave it a try. Glad I did as the extra cost resulted in a great seat. As far as seats go this one works on all accounts and has a great look, closes slowly, and is solid. When I first went to install it I thought it would be too short when lining up the holes but it comes with a hinge that allows for a flexible length when installing, along with a quick release of the seat for cleaning. A great replacement seat and very easy to install.

One of the best instruction sheets ever!
This item was crazy expensive. When you can buy a functional toilet seat for 1/3 the money--hard to justify this cost. The trade off with toilet seats is that plastic ones are easy to clean; but are often flimsy and flex. Wooden ones are very solid--but read the reviews--they are often tougher to clean and/or have fragile finishes that are damaged by cleansers. After spending way too much time reading Amazon toilet seat reviews, we selected this one. We decided that since toilet seats typically last us 10 years, it was a luxury that, over time, was not that bad. Seems like every manufacturer has invented the best new mounting system for their toilet seat. No two are alike. These guys are no different. Theirs is different than any others--but--their instructions are the clearest I've ever read (for possibly any item I've bought!). Easy to install; easy to adjust. Installation took minutes and only a tape measure and a Phillips head screw driver. It slow closes quite nicely and seems solidly made. Only installed it an hour ago--so durability is still an unknown for us. If this happy, then why not 5 stars?? Color. We ordered and received in white. We have an American Standard Champion toilet. In the brightest of light, you can see that the color match to the porcelain is ever-so-slightly off. Not bad, just 2% below perfect. At this price point, I was expecting perfect. Once I removed my worklights from the bathroom and went back to normal bathroom lighting, it is pretty easy to overlook, so I'm still quite happy with my purchase.

Best seat ever!
I'm very happy with how sturdy these feel. It fit well, color match was great. Very happy with the seat. Love the easy release as well. We did have an issue with the seat and had to use the 2 year warranty for replacement. I messaged the company with my transaction info sunday evening, and heard back from them within a couple hours! They expressed that they were sorry about the problem we had and said they would expedite a new seat. Couldn't be happier!

Look no further - don't buy a cheap seat - Excellent seat/Hardware/and Instructions
We have three Kohler Revival toilets that came with custom wooden seats designed especially for the toilet. Over the years the seats have deteriorated and have been discontinued. You can still find them online but the cost is $150. They are very heavy and don't over slow-close or quick removal as so many new seats offer. I have tried several inexpensive plastic seats but all have failed on this given toilet. The rim of the toilet is rounded and has no flat service. Most other seats have plastic bumpers rather than rubber so they do not grip the toilet rim. Additionally, with our style toilet the bumper only hits a small portion of the rim which makes it even less stable. The Bath Royale model solved all these issues. First off, it is not plastic but a high quality composite called Eurocast. Very heavy - almost approaching the weight of wood. The bumpers are a rubber material and not a slick solid piece of plastic. They really grip the toilet rim. The hardware is unbelievable - like no other hardware I have seen on a toilet seat. Very heavy and well designed. My old toilet seat had oblong washers that were so lightweight that when you tightened the nut on the bolt the washer bent under pressure. I was never able to get the hardware on other toilet seats tight enough so that the seat did not eventually shift to one side or the other. So far, with the Bath Royale there is a very sturdy fit. As many others commented, the instructions are excellent. Very detailed and easy to follow. As with all good instructions they tell you not only what to do but also what NOT to do. Illustrations are very clear. There are several steps but all easy to follow for a professional installation. The seat fits very tightly and the quick release feature is great for thorough cleaning. I was afraid that the quick release feature would actually weaken the seat as pointed out in so many reviews of other toilet seats. This seems very sturdy and the seat is easily removed and reinstalled. This is not the cheapest toilet seat by any means but it is well worth the money and you are paying for quality rather than a cheap seat that won't last. Two year warranty. Note in package indicates that it is a small family business in North Carolina. Update 11/14/2024 - today after having this toilet seat for four years in a little used bathroom - the entire seat snapped in half while I was sitting on it! There are many people heavier that me. It is not a surface crack or small crack - a loud snapping sound and a huge crack all the way through one side of the seat. Not happy with the life of the seat but since it is the only one I have found that works on this toilet I have no choice but to order another.

Great removable toilet seat with soft close
Reposting this with the edit that, as stated in last sentence that I would buy again, I did buy again for another bathroom. Dang, this is a great toilet seat and so easy to install. Every word in my old review is still true. I also appreciate that Bath Royale has kept the model # to make buying it again a sure bet. If in doubt buy this one. Old review follows here.... I never thought much about toilet seats figuring them to be about all the same. We had a removable one from Kohler that seemed fine when we purchased it. However, now about 5 years later two issues happened. One was that the fingers, that allow you to remove it from the toilet itself, broke. The second was that the slow-close mechanism also broke and this showed itself as a crack in the underside, back portion of the seat where the mechanics are located. We could use it if very careful, but needed a replacement. I didn't want to re-purchase the same unit as I now saw how cheap the construction of the fingers were in order to release the seat from the toilet. So, jumping from the Lowe's and Home Depot web sites to Amazon, we found the Bath Royale MasterSuite Toilet Seat. It is so much better. The mounting hardware is very nice and easy to use. However, the best feature is the simple and easy to use buttons that you press to allow the seat to quick release from the mounting pins. This toilet seat is far superior. Even lifting it up, seat and lid, for use as a guy, you can feel how solid it is compared to the one we had before. Again, something I never really thought about was toilet seats, and now I could see the quality difference between what we had and what we now had installed. Great product that I would definitely purchase again.
