KEEN Men's Headout Low Height Waterproof All Terrain Hiking Shoe

Very high high quality hiking shoes. True to size. They provide a cushoned stable stride.

Like most of the people reviewing, I have had several pairs of Keens. I could not replace my beloved Terradora (9 years old) because they didn't have my size. So I tried on 3 different waterproof styles: Circadia, Targhee II, and Headout. All low height. I found the Circadia to be very stiff with an uncomfortable pinch at the toe area when you push off, the Targhee's were HUGE and bulky - which on a size 10 foot is not a good look. Got the Headout and ordered a 1/2 size bigger based on frequent reports in the reviews. Added my own superfeet inserts and voila! a great fit. No pinching, ample room without feeling loose, no heel pinching. No arch support though so would recommend inserts if you like to feel some support.

You can buy hiking shoes for less, but this is one Quality shoe! It fits my 11 1/2 size foot perfectly. It’s an attractive and rugged shoe and is very comfortable. It’s not as late as a regular tennis shoe but it’s not as heavy as some of the hiking shoes I’ve tried on or used in the past. It’s a very attractive shoe.

This is my 1st pair of Keens. I’ve heard great things about them. That there’s no need to break them in. I went to a store and tried on several different styles of Keens. Loved the fit, but didn’t like the prices. So, I bought these on here for $65. The store didn’t have these to try on. This pair is nothing like the others that I tested out. These are really well made. Look very durable. But, they are STIFF. These are not ready to wear out of the box like some reviews stated. Not for me, anyway. I only saw a couple of reviews mention they are narrow. These definitely are. Also mentioned was there was no arch support. I have high arches and use a special insole. When I took the insole out of these, they didn’t look anything like the other styles I tried on. I was surprised there was no arch, whatsoever! The others were comfortable without using my own insoles. I’m on the fence about returning them and trying another style, or getting a shoe stretcher to help break them in. If they weren’t made so well, this would be a no brainer. I love the look of these and the color combo. One last thing, another review mentioned something sticking through the side of the tongue on the right shoe. These have the same issue. Going to try and see if there’s plastic or something that needs to be pulled out.

Not true to the size.

Other reviewers stated these run short, so a half sz larger was ordered. They still rubbed the toes. A hand inside, revealed some attached wadded up not smooth something (lining?) in the toes. No wonder they rubbed & seemed short. The shoes were more narrow than expected for Keen and, even tho exterior leather wasn't solid pieces, the shoes were stiff and un bending. Its very sad that what used to be a dependable wonderful brand has been cheapened to this extent. I ordered different styles several years ago which I returned as equally disappointing, but I had high hopes they had improved. I'm surprised there are some great reviews of this shoe.

KEEN quality and fit. I like the KEEN brand and feel like they are a good boot. These fit well and are really comfortable. I have been wearing them daily for a month now and have no complaints.

Fit for me was spot on. Seems to be a sturdy shoe. I go through a pair of Merrills in about 4 to 6 months. Time will tell.

My partner's son loves these shoes. he even wears them as a dress shoe. Finds it very comfortable.

Passt sehr gut und ist bequem.

Guter Schuh zu einem fairen Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Besonders für breite Füsse sehr gut geeignet.
