I’ve been using this IFB 8 Kg fully automatic top load washing machine for a few days back now, and so far the experience has been really good. The washing quality is impressive—clothes come out clean and fresh, even with regular detergent. What I like most is that the machine automatically adjusts the wash based on the load, so I don’t have to worry about settings every time. It runs smoothly with very little noise, which is great. The 8 kg capacity is perfect for a family, and it handles bedsheets and larger clothes easily. Installation was quick and hassle-free, and overall the machine feels sturdy and well-built. Slightly on the higher side price-wise, but the performance makes it worth it. Happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable washing machine. Buying this product has been one of the biggest mistakes I have made, resulting in a total waste of my hard-earned money and precious time. After 18 months of usage, here is why I completely regret this purchase and strongly advise everyone to avoid IFB products entirely: Design Flaws and Hidden Maintenance: The machine stops working frequently every two months. The service technician claimed that I must 'deep clean' the machine every 30 washes because dirt accumulates in the waste pipe, causing a system shutdown. This absurd requirement is nowhere mentioned in the user manual. Had the company been transparent about this high-maintenance design flaw, I would have never purchased it. Abysmal Service Turnaround Times: I have used several premium brands over the years—including Daikin for ACs, Samsung for my previous washing machine, Panasonic for my LED TV, and Morphy Richards for my microwave. All of these companies have excellent support teams that dispatch technicians on the same or the very next day. IFB, on the other hand, consistently takes 3 to 5 days just to get a technician to visit after an online complaint is logged. Frequent Electronic Failures and Unacceptable Repair Delays: My machine has broken down yet again. This time, the technician diagnosed a faulty PCB (Printed Circuit Board) plate—a critical electronic component that should not fail within just 1.5 years. The part was ordered on May 27th, and it has been over a week with zero resolution or updates. Unreasonably Expensive Spare Parts: IFB’s proprietary components, especially the electronics and PCBs, are notoriously overpriced compared to industry standards. The cost of maintaining this machine post-warranty is economically unviable. Rigid and Unhelpful Corporate Policies: The brand’s customer care and service policies feel designed to exhaust the consumer rather than resolve the issue. There is a complete lack of accountability, proactive communication, or escalation tracking when a machine is lying dead for days. IFB manufactures unreliable products backed by an indifferent, slow-moving service network. Save your money, your sanity, and your time—look at competing brands that actually respect their customers after taking their money."
