I love the box, glass and slate coaster stamped with the year. It said a poster but it is small, shouldn't use the word poster, it's about 6x4. I thought it was a card but it's printed on both sides but there is also a smaller card to write the name and message on it. I am very happy with the product, I do think that it is value for money.

Beautiful package and stunning glass

Very nicely presented in an outer box and then inside a wooden type casket. Lovely gift for a 50 year old who likes whisky. Inside the box is a nice whisky glass, although not crystal but then you would pay a lot more for that. The glass itself was a bit dusty so had to wash it but it now looks nice. You also get some whisky cooling cubes and a lovely coaster with feet. There is also a small card with the year of birth outlining events that happened in that year. All in all a lovely gift at a decent price.

Brilliant present

I would class this as a gift to someone you know but cant think what to get them !Its fine as a gift but obviously for the cost ,the quality is reflective of the price.The wooden box has no reference to the age , probably as it is generic to the range , however it looks ok and has a clasp on it , but it feels quite thin wood.The tumbler/glass is fine and can be sued for obviously drinking , not a great weight to it , but it has the selected year of birth etched on it , we went for the 30th as we have a nephew with a birthday coming up.You also get a slate coaster and some whisky stones in the box too which gain are fine and seems well made.The last item is a small flyer with events that happened on your year of birth ( in our case 1994) and is interesting .In conclusion for the price this is a really nice gift to give someone , especially if they drink whiskey and will probably be appreciated

When you pay Amosking almost £20 you get in return a wealth of packaging. Inside the necessary Amazon brown cardboard box you find another brown cardboard box. Inside that, a shiny thin cardboard box. Inside that a box made of cheap, soft white wood with a metal catch. ( This might have been attractive, had it not been treated with a hideous dark stain. The lid of mine was already chipped on arrival. ) Inside the wooden box, black polystyrene. Inside the polystyrene, a cheap, thick glass, a slate coaster with edges deliberately chipped, making them slightly sharp to touch, and 4 rough granite stones for chilling whisky. Also 2 cards. The glass, coaster and wooden box all carry indelible schmaltzy messages which might well prove embarrassing to an elderly Brit. So far my efforts to erase them have not succeeded.Imo before paying away your almost £20 (Amosking does NOT offer Free Returns) it would be a good idea to ask yourself (and maybe also ask the proposed recipient) whether he would really appreciate this gift. If he likes whisky, wouldn't he prefer a bottle of the stuff? If he is a connoisseur, he likely already has a favourite delicate, tulip-shaped glass to enhance his whisky's aroma and would scorn to use this plebeian item. If he just likes to get fuddled of an evening and has accidentally broken all his glasses, big supermarkets sell a choice of reasonably priced 6-packs. Maybe that is just what he needs, or maybe he has a cupboard bursting with the things.If he has never come across artificial ice cubes, which after a stint in the freezer can cool drinks, albeit not as well as real water ice, without diluting them by melting, he might like the 4 granite stones. However right here on Amazon £3.99 buys a set of 9 stones with velvet storage pouch and Free Returns thrown in.

It's a celebratory glass for a fiftieth birthday college with stones and coaster in a nice wooden presentation box. It also came in a nice fancy printed, outer cardboard box which bright spark years managed to rip whilst trying to open it. Oopsies! The puzzle box from Helllraiser was easier opened. Lol. The glass and coaster both come printed with Happy Birthday as well as a birthday card and mini poster highlighting what was going on in your head of birth. The addition of a wooden box sets this out from other birthday presentations. It makes a difference. At this price you won't be getting cut crystal but what you do get is a great practical present that can be used regularly or put on display when not. A nice present for somebody's fiftieth. They only downside is that they have to wait to be a hundred years old before completing the set of six.
