PW21XE - Standard of Excellence Enhanced Book 1 - Alto Saxophone (Comprehensive Band Method)

This is the book my son will learn from and is the one required by his school. It's comprehensive and the deluxe version has two CD's which most kids will find more interesting than the book alone as they can play along.Although I ended up playing professionally, my son wants to learn like all the other kids so I mostly stay out of it and watch from the sidelines. I don't want to spook him off from his learning be being one of "those" parents.This book is so well done, I am confident taking a back seat to my son's entry into the world of music.

Great book for those who are self teaching, gives basic strategies on playing the sax.

I can confidently say that this instructional book is a must-have for any aspiring saxophonist, especially those who are learning in middle school. It has been an invaluable resource in my musical journey, providing a solid foundation and helping me develop my skills with ease.

Great book. we even used the CDs, although the CDs don't have some of the songs.

My son recently started Sax as a second instrument. He is familiar with the Clarinet version of this book so it was easy for him to make the transition since this book has a similar if not identical layout.
