very easy to use, heavy duty, actually used to pick up a chicken snake. he was fairly big no problems. Has a safety latch so it wont spring open. really light weight

This is good for dumpster diving when you need a little more reach or a firmer grab. I wouldn't use it for delicate materials or wide objects, but it's great if you need to pull a heavier object and you can get a solid grip on a piece that will sustain the pulling. It's longer than my other grabbers as well.

This is a well constructed item however it was not finished! The handle and jaws are made out of stamped steel and then formed and then assembled however the manufacturer forgot to do one more step before assembling this and that step is to de-burr the stamped parts. These burrs are sharp and can and do scratch and even cut a user or anything that they are used to pick up. When testing this it scratched and even cut my hand and I would never use it to pick up anything that was alive for I know it would also harm them for if it scratched a person who was just testing it I can imagine what it would to to an animal that was struggling for it's freedom?????

Works pretty good. Have used it to catch and relocate 4 pretty large rattlesnakes so far. The locking clip is a joke. It is not safe to rely on it when you have a pissed off poisonous snake in its jaws. The clip can fall down and get in the way of closing the jaws also. Best to remove the jaw locking clip.

Bought this as a "joke gift" for family that lives out in the country... turns out they've used it more than once. good size and easy to use.

After catching a snake in my nesting boxes I found this on Amazon. We have relocated 4 snakes from my hen house to a local barn where they can hunt mice and rats and leave my eggs alone. We'll worth the money! The pole is long enough I don't have to get close to grab the snake. Well pleased with this tool.
