The body of it has creased areas to fit the body more custom than the flat non bendable types. They fit great and she seems comfortable in it and very excited when she sees it because she knows where she gets to go!It’s no super thick but has great buoyancy in the water. She likes to gets to the tip of the board and occasionally falls in. She stays afloat and the piece under neck keeps head up easily.The extra wide Velcro around chest and neck is solid and had great grip. Extra buckles gives me peace of mind in case Velcro fails (the one from last year was used 5-6 times a week and still has same great grip as the new one!I like the metal D ring for her leash. And the handle is super sturdy. The under side has a neoprene layer making it easy to grab and hold. Double stitching and reinforcements are also a plus.Great product! Like I said it’s my second one to purchase. I may even get the other colors because they are too cute! You can maybe find less expensive but this one is very reasonable and definitely a good product for the money.Make sure you like review of it helps you! I got this for our older pupper who enjoys the water. He is getting worn out faster so I wanted to make sure he was safe when we swim at the lake. He also enjoys sticking his head over the edge of the boat when my husband goes faster. So I knew we needed to get a vest for him! The vest is excellent quality, adjusts easily. Doesn't seem to bother our dog so it must be comfortable. I think it will hold up longer than our fur baby will live.And to top it off he's stinking cute in his "baby shark outfit" as we call it. And if your an owner of a smaller dog always getting in the way, the handle on his back it AMAZING! Air jail at its finest! We literally pick him up and move him around the boat as needed. Or if he needs cooled down but we don't want to get out ourselves we can lift him up, dip him in the water and bring him back in the boat. He LOVES his baby shark vest!

Got this for my 1.5 yr old cardigan corgi to wear when out on water adventures. The length is great and it covers her enough to give her balanced buoyancy when swimming and to prevent her from slipping out. She has a very long body and this seems to be the right balance for her to be happy swimming but not block movement. It also works great for picking here up suitcase style when needed either for deep water or the times she chooses to leap from the kayak and I have to pull her back in. She doesn’t seem to get too hot in it but it does cover a large portion of her body so heat would be a consideration if your dog doesn’t have the opportunity to cool off very often. The is y Velcro strap at the chest backed up with plastic buckles and then a much larger and wider Velcro strap at the belly with 2 more buckles and the Velcro is very strong and seems to have a great hold so I wouldn’t worry about it coming apart if you have to pick up your dog. It is easy to put on and take off other than the strength of the Velcro and seems to be fairly priced for what you get. I also like the shark fin for several reasons (its cute) but also it allows to see where she is if she’s behind something (short dog problems). I did get a size large for my 34 lb corgi because she has a large neck and chest so you may need to size up for a golden or a shepherd if you have something of that size but I would bet a large would fit a smaller pit bull

The media could not be loaded. The XL fit our 75# golden retrievers perfectly. This jacket is cute, fits well, seems made well, and works nicely. The only thing that could be improved is the floppy fin!

Fits great, is adorable and works as it should

We have a medium mal, whose size is medium but had to send first one back because the medium did not fit. The large fits perfect but the fin doesn't stand up on this one. Am hoping it will in the water. Love the cool stars and stripes design. Haven't been to water yet but hoping it will save him from the strong currents at the Colorado river.

I got it since I was teaching my puppy to swim. I wanted him to feel safer floating on his own. Thanks to this jacket his confidence sky rocket and now he jumps in the water without hesitation (jacket or not). Also looks really cool! Looks of compliments on it

Very cute, good quality and material. The measurements don’t seem to line up with the size chart given. It’s definitely on the larger side. Even though it saids to size up if in-between sizes I wouldn’t.

Absolutely love this life jacket! It fits snug around his chest so we’ll be exchanging for an XL. Other than that it’s perfect!

My dawg is Jaws!!!Only complaint is there is no buckle in the chest, so the velcro sooner or later will wear and hold less.This is not about the product, but it's important to know that if your dog is in the safety vest, swimming, he will not be able to shake off excess water beneath the vest, making his body heavier.

This is super cute, and I was very excited to try it on my dog. It doesn't work. I bought one that was a size bigger than my dog to be safe but this lifejacket doesn't keep him out of the water. The water goes over his back and he slowly starts sinking. After a minute in the water it no longer works.DO NOT BUY. Never leave your dog unattended ever around water, ESPECIALLY with this lifejacket.
