Nature's Will all purpose Sodium Hexametaphosphate is use for Softening water without precipitate formation as in dyeing, laundering, textile processing, and washing operations; corrosion inhibitor in deicing salt preparations; frozen desserts; pretanning hides in the manufacture of leather; dispersing clays and pigments; threshold treatment for scale; and corrosion prevention. Review: Save a bunch of money with this stuff. - This product and Sodium Tripolyphosphate to make the stuff to use in automatic stills to keep the walls of the boiling pot free of calcium (and other material) buildup. This works well and costs a lot less than the prepackaged stuff. Its boiling temperature is above that of water so it stays in the still until you wash it out. Review: Good stuff! Using to help break down clay - This stuff works well I’ve been using it as a dispersion agent when breaking down clay so that the clay can be put through a classifying screens much easier. I found that it works well. I add this to a bucket with the clay in it then I add warm water and let it marinate for a few days. After that, I send it through classifying screens, and I find that the clay is much finer and runs through the screens much easier after soaking with this. I hope this review helps someone out there.
