I use magnesium all them time because my body doesn't take it in from foods, and results in serious cramps. So taking magnesium alleviates the problem as long as I take it daily and often. I very much don't like the taste and smell of this newer version. I have to hold my breath to open and take out the capsules. Swallowing is easy, but the taste is awful. HOWEVER, I NEED magnesium and this one also has the benefit of being the kind (citrate) that helps keep you "regular."
