HAWKEYE: KATE BISHOP VOL. 3 - FAMILY REUNION

This entire run is excellent! Kelly Thompson has definitely done a fantastic job fleshing out the better and popular Hawkeye, Kate Bishop. This was quite the journey and so many interesting twists, very good development and it's so funny! This is truly worth reading after Matt Fraction's run!

But you’re an idiot, because family is also the most trouble of anything around. I think the root of the word ‘family’ is even something about trouble. I mean, I may have made that up, but it totally should be.”Here we are once again joining Kate Bishop—the other Hawkeye— on her LA adventure. This time she not only has the trusty dog, Lucky, but also Clint Barton joining her! I did enjoy the new characters Kate made friends with in LA, but this issue showed just how much chemistry the two Hawkeyes have and how much I missed them teaming up! They have easy, friendly banter—even in the middle of a fight.Unfortunately, this is the last of the series, with Thompson taking up West Coast Avengers in August. Too much is left open in the plot and the Avengers taking up being reality TV stars is not in my reading list.

It was in good shape, but paying full price for what looked used, several pages were bent. Most likely not stored properly. Still the story and characters themselves are great so there's that.

Better than expected bought these before the hawkeye series to know more about Kate bishop highly recommend!!!

I love this run of Hawkeye and I would LOVE to see more. I'll be sad if Marvel cuts it here, but worth the read even if this is the stopping point.

Bom, começamos essa edição com o especial Marvel Generations envolvendo a Kate e o Clint (em uma versão do passado) presos em uma ilha com vários vilões do universo Marvel em um tipo de disputa. A aventura é bem simples e com uma arte bonita.Na sequência entramos no título regular, Kate e o Clint estão novamente reunidos em LA prontos para encarrar os problemas que tem enfrentado ultimamente, contudo as coisas são bem piores do que parecem.Nessas quatro edições, a trama continua com aquela pegada das Panteras/Três Espiãs demais, ou seja, com direito a muita ação e também com ótimos momentos engraçados, além disso a dinâmica entre os gaviões sempre é um atrativo. Temos um final justo, honesto e talvez um pouco apressado, apesar disso continua sendo uma fase divertidíssima e ótima de se acompanhar, é impossível não se pegar cativado pelo jeito carismático e espontâneo da Gaviã.Quem tiver interesse e quiser uma continuidade das aventuras da Kate em Los Angeles, recomendo comprar os Vingadores da Costa Oeste escrito pela Kelly Thompson e lançado pela Panini em volume único, porém a qualidade é menor do que a fase na Gaviã.

The original Kate Bishop was someone I identified with. She was someone like me, like my ideal me. Someone who thought first and acted second, someone that didn't jump headlong into action without knowing where she was going. She was measured, a bit reserved, someone with a clear upper-class upbringing.Thompsons Kelly is none of these things. I keep reading because I love Kate Bishop, the original Kate Bishop, but this is not her. This is basically a female Clint Barton - impulsive, rash, acting on every impulse, not after deliberate thought.This is not the Kate Bishop I could identify with, and I really hope this won't be the template for how the character will be written in the future, on the page and on the screen.

I’m so mad this series was cancelled. I love Kate. I love reading about Kate. She is the superior Hawkeye.

Excellent comic book. Je ne lis d'ordinaire que les X-men mais j'ai fait un exception ici, après avoir reçu un numéro en cadeau. Je ne suis vraiment pas déçue !
