No, mine didn't come with an adapter and I couldn't find anyway to keep the projection permanently on

No it doesn't come with an adapter however it's quite a generic fit

I did not like the science museum clock because it did not automatically set the time.

Q: How do you set the hour and minute hands on the clock?

Hi, Pressing the mode switch for a few seconds flashes the hour hand. Then use UP or DOWN to change. Pressing mode switch again flashes the minute and so on. The quality of the product is not very good and it started showing wrong time after a year of use. But the bargain price was a plus point when I bought it.
