Absolutely a must when making sourdough bread! So easy to use and easy to store. Definitely a necessity for all bread makers!

I didn't realize these only went up to 446, but the recipe I use has you start at 500. They've held up fine even at 500* but I'm going to stop using them just in case.

These bread slings do the job but they are very sticky when taken out of the package. They collect any house dust/hair easily, so they need to be kept in a protected storage place. Not super easy to clean because of the same tackiness issue, any lint from a dish towel will stick.

My favorite thing about these bread slings are the finger holes on the handles. Even though these are silicone they are still a bit hot to the touch when freshly removed from the oven. The finger holes help when handling while still hot as long as I'm quick about it. They fit my pan nicely and I love the color. They are ready to clean and are a good price. They protect both my pan and my bread by keeping it from sticking....

The media could not be loaded. I’m not a bread-maker. Have tried in the past, but unsuccessfully. Going to try again with a nice new setup of equipment. These seem like such a great idea. I already know from other silicone items I have, that they’ll be helpful. My primary concern is to see how they actually hold up to heat, and to see whether they’re actually cool to the touch when removing loafs, or if they burn my hands. I’ve had silicone over gloves before and was burned immediately after taking a pan out of the oven. Because of this, I will update this after I’ve used the slings, as to what it was like to use them. They seem nice quality, good colors. I like that it’s a set of 2. The sourdough slings are easy to use and seem durable for baking bread. They wash easily. I am concerned that most temps for baking sourdough bread in cast iron are 450 degrees + and these are rated at 446. I had no problem by keeping the temperature down, but am concerned about the outcome if the recipe requires a higher temp.
