Ok, this is the easiest and perfect way to make a perfect bun ever!

Now this is how to do a bun! This makes it almost difficult to screw it up. It has clear instructions with more than enough pins to get things situated. Awesome results!

My daughter is required to wear her hair in a bun for ballet. For years we've used homemade sock-buns, so it was fun to try these spongey, nylon "donuts" ! Bonus that they are offered in different shades - we chose Brown for her brunette hair.Almost everything you need to create the perfect ballerina bun is included (only missing the hairnets!) You get four large donuts (about 3" diameter) and four small ones (about 2" diameter.) They create different size buns if you have long hair, or the small is best for shorter hair.It says there are 40 of the 2.75" rounded bobby pins (I didn't count, but it looks like 20 per bag!) and there are five black elastic bands with a round bead things on them. I didn't really care for these, as that bead is annoying and catches/tugs on hair. I suppose it's is there to help keep the ponytail from slipping? Not sure.Anyway, the kit is really easy to use. You put the hair in a ponytail, then at the bottom of the ponytail loop the donut through and start rolling it up the hair, winding the hair around the donut as you go, and kind of wrap it to cover the sponge. It is a little tricky at first to get it snug at the base of the ponytail, but YT videos help!For under $10, this is a nice starter set that could be easily shared with a few dance friends or to keep at the studio or in a competition dance bag!

I liked that the hair bun kit contained 2 sizes of bun makers so I could make different buns in my gray hair. I know the kit said specifically for girls however it does work well in my 67 year old hair style. I did like the kit was reasonable price for the number of items that come with it. I did find that I need to put a rubber band on my ponytail first or the stretch bands that came in the kit to hold my hair much tighter and then I slide on the bun maker. I wish it came in a white/platinum/gray color to match my hair. With the bun maker, I am able to tuck my hair under the bun maker and it stays so there are some styles I do not use any Bobby pins such as the style I displaced in the picture. I have enough curls in my hair that my curly hair will stay wrapped around the bun. It does what it says it was created for so for me its a good value and a good quality product.

This is a complete set! You get the bum makers (8!), hair ties, and bobby pins. These are so handy for putting my daughter's hair in a bun for ballet class. You just need to put the hair up in a ponytail, then roll it or wrap it around the bun maker and pin into place. I would describe the bun makers as small and medium. We always find very large ones, which don't work well for us because my daughter's hair is only shoulder-length. These two sizes however, are perfect for her shorter hair. We can easily use these supplies to put her hair into the required up-do very quickly. Because you get the extra pieces, you have everything you need!
