In theatre, you have at times the need to use pregnancy bumps and it was with hesitation I ordered this product. Thinking, will it work, is it better then making one with a pillow, will it be natural looking. Well all my worries disappeared when the actress put it on. It’s so good and natural looking.

I bought this for a stage production: we had a dress rehearsal and two shows. It made it through dress rehearsal, but during the first show one of the straps ripped entirely off, and my actress had to support the belly with her hand lest we have an accidental “childbirth” right onstage. (We made it through the second show with safety pins.) It’s a great size and look, but durability was lacking in my experience. Or maybe my actors were just being way too hard on it … so far none has confessed!

This fake belly is great for maternity modeling for photos. I am a photographer, but I also had to wear this for a class a friend of mine was teaching. Pro tip: put it under Shapewear for a much more realistic look. Put the belly on first, get some high belly shape wear and put that on, then put the dress on. Looks totally real and I had people coming up asking when I was due constantly.
