Pigeon by Stovekraft Stainless Steel Kitchen Knives Set, 3-Pieces, Multicolor

I usually stay away from Chinese imports, as a matter of principle, but have made an exception in this case because I believe that good quality deserves to be praised, regardless of origin. I bought this set for 180 INR back in January '17 and have been using the knives almost daily ever since. When I noticed that it was on sale again for 150 INR, I couldn't resist grabbing another set even though I don't really need it. [Pros] * Absolute VFM (value for money) - 3 good-quality knives for 150 INR (MRP reads 495) is as good as it gets. A friend of mine, who is a chef and owns insanely expensive knives such as this one - Wüsthof Silverpoint Santoku , agreed that they were indeed pretty good for the price. * Even after 4 months of daily use, the blades seem just as sharp as they were on the first day, and show no signs of ageing. Note: I'm a vegetarian and have been using these knives only for fruits, nuts & vegetables, so I can't claim that they'd perform just as well with meat. * The contoured handles are sturdy and solid; the grips have not loosened despite being subjected to rough use on a regular basis. * Aesthetically pleasing, which isn't really a quality one looks in a knife but is something that's always nice to have. [Cons] * The only con I can think of is that we don't get to choose the colors, which is a tad unfortunate, but not a deal-breaker by any means. * I realize that I'm nitpicking unfairly here, but I'd have liked the option of paying a bit more to get a knife stand such as this one - Knife Set with Block . Knives are super good

Good knife but it was so sharp that it cut my finger

Very sharp!!! Need to use carefully...I actually didn't like the plastic cover over the knives...it's difficult to remove the knives from the packet...And after cutting the edges of the plastic to remove the knives...the whole package becomes more dangerous... Because of sharp plastic edges...I actually did cut my finger while taking out the knives... Pros: 1. Sharp hence smooth cutting 2. Trusted brand 3. Actually bigger than the shown image..so we get different size of knives for cutting different things from small to bigger 4. Quality is good 5. Reasonable price Cons: 1. Dangerous packaging..... the plastic cover can cut your fingers 2. Very sharp should be used carefully...should be kept away from children...actually far away from them... Overall a nice product from Amazon at reasonable price... 5 stars from my side :-) Note: Amazon's packaging was good but the original packaging of the product by the seller was dangerous.

Not good . Loose sharpness in days

Its been 9 years the knives are still good. Yes we do need to sharpen them often, but for daily use they are still strong. Steel quality was super, which didn't even took rust even yet. Thickness is also way better than other knife set in the similar or even more price range that these.
