Easy to use
One of the best wheelchairs we’ve purchased in a long time. Easy to use and the fact that it folds to something smaller is HUGE!

sturdy, narrow
Sturdy. Easy to steer and push. Seat is narrow. We use a traditional transporter outside and plan on using this inside in place of using the seat on a walker. Wanted something that could be pushed under a table. Handle is less comfortable than our other transporter

So Much Better Than A Traditional Wheelchair!
My grandmother has frequent doctor’s appointments at a facility that is around two hours away. Thankfully, we are able to use an Ambulette to travel there, which is a huge help. However, when it comes to getting her loaded, that is another story.A few years ago, I constructed a wheelchair ramp off my house specifically for my grandmother. However, getting her down the ramp with a traditional wheelchair has proven difficult. A traditional wheelchair is far too bulky. We all have physical issues ourselves, so we were in need of something more lightweight. I ordered this Hopelite transport chair to make transporting my grandmother easier on us.I have to say, I am very impressed with how this chair has performed for us. For starters, it comes mostly assembled, which is fantastic. I have assembled many medical devices, so believe me when I say that this was a huge time saver. The only thing I had to do was reroute the brake cables and adjust the footrest. The best thing about this chair has to be just how lightweight it is. I almost couldn’t believe it when I carried in the box! The lightweight aluminum frame is sturdy and rugged, but is much lighter than traditional steel. I would certainly call that a win!My grandmother says that the chair is very comfortable. She says that she likes the high backrest, and that the padded seat is much easier for her to sit on for longer periods of time. After some adjusting, I was able to get it so that the footrest is perfectly suited to her. There are several different adjustment options, for which I am thankful as she is a knee replacement recipient. The wheelchair rolls smoothly and easily, and is very easy to control thanks to the handlebars built into the backrest. The narrow design allows it to fit easily through our small doorways. As I touched on earlier, there is also a parking brake that can be set to keep the chair from rolling inadvertently. Finally, the chair is easily foldable, which makes it super easy to both store and transport. In conclusion, we could not be more thrilled with how this transport chair has worked out for us. It is much easier for us to operate than a standard wheelchair, and my grandmother also seems to be much more comfortable in it. These are the two most important things. Not only that, but the build quality of this chair is excellent, and the price is right. I would highly recommend this transport chair from Hopelite.

This Hopelight Transport Wheelchair Is Very Suitable For Someone Petit to Average In Size...
Personally I believe it checks all of my boxes for a Aluminum Transport Wheelchair, I'm about average frame, 5'-11" in height, 200 lbs. and it easily supports my weight and frame in what some have called a narrow seat but that's what I like about it. I was looking for something that could be used in a home environment to easily travel through doorways of a home as well as transport someone with mobility issues to and from a vehicle, to the store shopping or to their doctor's appointment. I didn't expect for anyone to spend all day in this transport chair but if that was the criteria that needed to be met then I would suspect that a larger full fledged wheelchair might fit there needs better since typically they are equipped with better padded armrests, backrests, and seats for optimum comfort but it would be more cumbersome to travel with thus the benefits of the transport wheelchair are that they are generally much lighter weight and have a more compact design, they easily fold to fit in a car trunk, making it less bulky than a standard wheelchair. This particular model is actually a few pounds heavier than what I would call Ultralight in weight since it comes in at 25 lbs. but I've seen many 4 wheeled walkers come in at approximately the same weight as well. I found this Hopelight model to be extremely sturdy and very well constructed for its' small size and with my 200 lbs. I never felt that I was anywhere near the maximum capacity that it could handle although their stated weight capacity is 220 lbs., no doubt in my mind that the 220 lbs. is a conservative estimate. Some were adding that the footrest is not low enough but I found that my forearms fit the armrests easily and my hands naturally fell to the top of my knees so I wasn't uncomfortable as it's currently designed. Yes, for some an adjustable footrest would have been preferred but the whole point of a transport wheelchair is that it's meant to be pushed by a family member or caregiver, they are also transport friendly as I've previously mentioned and they're designed for more temporary use and it also comes with a storage bag to help protect it when not in use. I can easily recommend this Hopelight Aluminum Transport Chair for your consideration and I also feel that a 5 Star Overall rating is appropriate...

Narrow Width, Doorways No Match
Lightweight Foldable Transport Chair with Telescopic Handle (Brand: Hopelight)- I am unsure what the weight rating is, but I found it sturdy enough to transport a person under 250lbs. It weighs around 30lbs. What makes it a challenge to load is it is bulky, but that's to be expected. Everything tucks away and is not too obtrusive while loading. The folding and unfolding mechanism has proven tricky. Lots of compliments while I've been out using this with others who need help. I'm disabled and had no trouble maneuvering this about. I like that it fits under most tables. I've also been a passenger, and it sits and rides good. I like its narrow width; makes doorways not an issue. This is a nice transport should the need be there. The one I received came fully assembled.
