These work exactly as intended
They do one thing and they do it well. The screws that came with them are small and might be fine but I through bolted mine with a flathead socket cap screw and some Tee Nuts to the shelf I had

These are great but no way the tiny screws supplied will support any weight once the clothes have been hung defeating the purpose of the product .
