Q: Why is not including the kick pedal a trend - isn't that part of the essence of a drum kit (bass, hi hat and snare drum)? what's next tv no remote?

Hi Kyle, The reason for this is that bass drum pedals and/or hihat stands are considered personal items for most all drummers. There are many brands/styles to choose from, and every player seems to be partial to one style over the other, or they may already have these items if they have been playing drums for some time. Roland designed the V-Drums so they would be compatible with most all kick pedals (including double pedals) and hihat stands and don't want to force the customer to use custom, proprietary pedals/stands. Also, when purchasing an acoustic drum set, most all of them do not include hardware, or even cymbals. Q: Can you add more cymbals to this set?
