This is the best business Valuation book available. As a 15 year practitioner, this is my go to book. Highly recommended.

Excellent Resource, Terrible Teacher
I'm working on my third degree, and as a teacher myself, this is one of the most poorly written instructional books that I've read. The content is excellent, but if you don't already have a background as a financial analyst, then it should not be used as a course textbook. Essentially, it is a compilation of research studies, including little used models and theories, and it consistently directs you to other sources for additional information. For those that are involved in financial valuation on a regular basis it could be an excellent resource. However, the book itself says that it provides explanations and focuses on practical applications of the models/theories. This is not the case, hence the 1 star rating. It's an excellent resource, but a terrible teacher.

Best of it's kind book for valuation professionals.
This is indeed a book for valuation professionals, perhaps the best of its kind. It is comprehensive and well written, yet approachable for a valuation professional, CFO or financial analyst. It is for people who already have a background in finance, not a textbook for beginners, and was never intended to be the latter. No valuation professional should be without this book.

it says rental but i have paid for it.it has sticker on top.it would be nice to have a book without thissticker issue and also the EBOOK version of it.

Poor binding
This is a big book. Great content. But, I've only had it for a few months and the binding is coming apart. So, soon it will be useless, and Amazon won't take the return now. Go for the Kindle version

Different semester rental periods
They only allow a two month rental for the summer semester but 5 months for the fall and spring semesters?! I had to extend my rental to have it for two more weeks to finish out the summer semester. This should be stated more clearly. Very unhappy. All rentals should be 4 months long for the three semesters in a year.
