Great customer service!
The prongs of the sockets that I received are Lift The Dot, "standard prong" length which is .205". I needed the "long prong" sockets which measure .275" in length. If you need to install these on cloth or fabric thicker than 5/16" you will not have enough prong length to bend over the back plate to secure the fastener. I was very disappointing when Amazon/Northwest Tarp & Canvas specifically advertise this product as "extended length prongs" and sent out the standard length.I called Northwest Tarp and Canvas and the owner of the company answered the phone! He was very apologetic about the incorrect product that I received and jumped through many hoops to try and find the long prong parts that I needed. They were out of stock and a hard part to get but he was able to dig up five and sent them out to me at no cost. I'm sure that this ended up being a no profit/possible total loss sale for the company and it is so rare to have someone (let alone the owner) care enough to go to the trouble of taking care of a customer on a paltry $20 sale. I can give my highest praise and thanks to NT&C for outstanding customer service and trust that you can expect the same when dealing with this service orientated company. Many thanks to Northwest Tarp and Canvas!

You WILL need a set tool
I love the fact I can still buy these but dont try using a #2 phillips head screwdriver to split the post onto your work, many places sell a hollow rivet set tool that will split the rivet post effectively and cleanly so that it adheres to your work. while a #2 phillips will work (The definition of work being it splits, but not cleanly or uniform and may fracture bits of it off but it does technically work) you may cause yourself more problems by not having the appropriate set tool (especially if it pops a bit of the rivet wall off and sends your screwdriver into the canvas your attempting to fix the snap onto)

Classic, authentic, and work and expected.
I was making a reproduction of an old military case that called for this closure. These did not disappoint. Solid, one direction secure closure. As I only really needed one, I didn't want to spend the close to $100 for the tools to install. Look online for videos to get around that for around $10.

Quality snaps
Heavy like the mil-spec lift-a-dots. Canvas up to 1/8" thick or 5 oz leather. Works well. Could have problems with the 7 oz weight

Good stud & socket for THIN materials
They are a good set of stud & socket except that both the stud and the socket are limited to thin material. If you try to use these on thick material or leather…..you will have to remove material from the area that you want to mount it to. The stud and the socket can only handle material about 1/16 of an inch. Not good for thick leather. If your using thin material….they seem to be of good quality

Excellent quality
The snaps were everything I expected in repairing a couple of WWII era holsters. I would do business again with this vendor. One point about using these snaps, you must have the proper tools to punch the holes and set them.

Just what I needed to finish a holster for a 1911 .45 ACP. Super fast delivery and the price was right. Thanks.
