Very nice n fancy type

I would have given it 5 star but after using it for one week I realised that I am struggling to keep the Diya lit. I have to keep trying till it eventually stays lit inside the covering. It’s a ordeal trust me. But once it’s done successfully it’s really nice. Within a few minutes the metal becomes hot to touch so it’s a task if once the cover is put and Diya goes off. Material is durable and strong. I am happy with my purchase. Apart from my struggle to keep the Diya lit, all other things are 5 star.

I bought this to keep in front of the Tulasi pot outside our house. Since it's in the open, any breeze would put off the light and hence I found this to be useful. It has 5 pieces which are put together to make the diya that you see in the picture: 1) The base with 3 studs at the bottom 2) Oil holding cup (main part) threaded to the base 3) Wick holding stand threaded to the middle of the oil cup 4) Glass cylinder that is just placed within the ledge of the base around the diya 5) Metal top kept on the glass cylinder Due to this, it's easy to detach for cleaning and re-assemble. Borosil package is excellent. The complete set came in an thermocol box that has one groove for the glass cylinder and the other for remaining parts. Thus, it can never break in transit. As given in the description, the pack has a set of wicks (looked like made of synthetic cotton) and a packet of 'Pitambari' (brass metal article shining powder). Amazon had further kept this Borosil packet in another carton box stuffed neatly and sent. Note that this diya is really small! After buying this, I thought I should have gone for at least the medium sized one.

Received this in just 2 days which is a surprise considering the average speed at my pin code is 5 days. ++Pros +It is of perfect size. +Will burn for 2 and half hours with mustard oil. +Build quality is good as well. +Glass quality is good, comes with brass cleaner in the pack. - -Cons -Along with cap and glass, the base also gets extremely hot which is a big no-no if your platform is made of wood. -There is no gap between glass and bottom plate so air doesn't circulate well and it gets extinguished if the cap is placed, or it stays alive but dimly lit. I raised the glass from the bottom with help of some matchsticks it helps. But eventually, it's a design flaw. Okay product, better than everything else. With a scope of improvement.

Perfect size as i wanted....

Using the diya for more than a month now. Pros. 1. Beautiful craftsmanship. 2. Can be kept safely on even with fan on or breeze coming from the window. 3. Seller provides with pitambari cleaning powder and lighting cotton wicks pack which is added benefit. 4. The borosilicate glass does obviously get hot along with its lid, but it's of very good quality so does not get damaged. 5. Diya burns for a quite a long time.

Good quality and construction. The borosil glass is actually labelled borosil so looks and feels authentic. We have been using for quite some time now and it has neither lost colour, nor shape despite bearing the intense heat. Still looking brand new. The diya lasts lit a long time with lesser oil and gusts of wind or a nearby fan do not disturb it at all allowing you to do your puja in peace without needing to see an inauspicious diya going off. For a small mandir (about 3 by 1.5 feet and height 3-4 feet), this size is perfect but this is subjective so choose accordingly as per your preferences. Caution though, the design channels heat through the narrow hole at the top. If you put the diya in a closed mandir, it will damage the roof as the heat is concentrated into a narrow spot. Also if you want to touch the diya while it has been lighted for some time, since it is all closed it will be super hot!

The diya is very good. However, when I tried to open the middle stick for putting bati to it. It did not open even after multiple efforts. This makes it difficult for me to put the bati in correct manner.
