I just received my bathtub overflow drain cover this afternoon and I had to try it tonight. This product is well made, and easy to use. The package came with a small card with easy to follow and simple instructions plus the two silicone pieces (one to cover the bottom drain and one to cover the overflow drain). I didn’t have to use the universal bottom drain cover because my bathtub already comes with one that has a big knob that sticks out. So the new plug wouldn’t have fit over anyway. But once I put the overflow drain cover on, it worked immediately and I could hear see and feel the suction happening. The trick is to make sure it is flush flat with the side wall covering the overflow drain. Otherwise it took me a couple or so tries to make sure I was doing it right. The concept was so simple yet effective: while covering the overflow plug, it utilizes negative air pressure when you let some water out from the bottom drain plug. Whoever invented this is a genius! Thanks to Lord of Leisure I now have a deeper tub, like seriously 5” deeper. I took a pic because I was so excited to use my deeper bath and show others that it really works. Before this drain plug, the water would escape through the bottom area of the overflow. I could have gone higher with the water level but the water inside the tub would have run over the side onto the bathroomfloor when I layed down fully. I sat in the tub for about 30-40 minutes. And I can affirm that NO water escaped through the overflow drain. I did not hear any leaking or anything. The high level of water stayed in one spot - so it worked flawlessly. I had a shower at my old studio for 3 years and I’ve dreamt for the luxury of soaking tub. This device by Lord of Leisure just made my dream a reality tonight. Thank you guys!! One last thing...not only have you helped with my state of mind, reduced my stress, and enhanced my relaxation but recently I had some lower back pain and sciatica issues. My back felt amazing after I got out of the bath, because the water level now covers and therefore delivers heat higher up my back. This device is seriously a miracle to me. I am so looking forward to more baths. Please buy one if you’ve read this far need a deeper bath!

Ok I’ve had one of those vinyl type over flow covers. And it did ok, but water would still leak out and the damn thing wouldn’t stick. I finally tried this one out had a few challenges with it however it ended up working perfectly. End results was no water leaks and I deep tub. Problem 1 was the cover just barely fit over the over flow cover. Problem 2 the drain cover is really small so I had to hold it down until at least 2” of water filled the tub. Problem 3 there may be a bit of a gap between some peoples over flow drain from poor plumbing construction. So suction may be a challenge. I had to press it a few times before it actually held into place. My advice to the company is to make both pieces a bit larger and heavier. Also the over flow cover needs to have a more solid back to press against the tub wall better. Other then that great product. Used it twice so far.

I followed the directions: filled up the bath, popped the overflow drain cover on, and pulled up the drain plug to make the seal. I came back and made sure my overflow drain is the kind that works with this cover and it's supposed to be. I have the most average bath tub in the world. Sadly it just wouldn't seal, and neither would the main drain cover that came with it. Both were letting water out. The water level kept dropping even after it was below the overflow drain and when I felt around the main drain cover, I could feel areas that weren't sealed all around it. So I hoped that was the only problem and switched back to my old main drain cover, refilled the bath and tried again, but the water kept draining through the overflow drain so I know both plugs weren't working. I really hoped these would replace my ugly plastic drain covers but at least the ugly ones work.

The media could not be loaded.  I previously used the large clear covers with the little suction cups. They worked well initially, but would lose their shape, become cloudy and would stop sticking after a few months. This blue cover looks completely different. No suction cups and different type of material, (seems durable, but only time will tell.)The chrome plate on my overflow drain is mostly square and this cover is round, so I wasn't even sure it would fit, but with Amazon's great return policy I thought why not.Once I put it on, I could hear the water cease running through the overflow drain. Good, but I didn't see any suction or anything that would make me think it was really sticking to the bathtub and stopping all the water. After playing around with it and looking at the Amazon page, I read in the description that you have to lift the bottom drain cover to let some water out. That little tip MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE! I was really surprised how well it worked after that, I even made a video because this is key to the product's success (hoping this loads properly).I give it 4 stars because it didn't come with any instructions in the package, and it took some time to dig around and figure out how to really make it work. If this was a gift for someone else, putting the instructions in the product description would be a pretty big oversight. Also, my package was delayed by 4 days, so ya know, 4 days, 4 stars.

This was my first time trying out this drain cover, and I am SO pleased! I had been looking for a while for one that would fit my overflow drain, since it is so closely placed under my faucet (and upside down so it drains even sooner), no others would fit. I can finally enjoy my deep claw foot bathtub with the water ALL THE WAY FULL instead of only half way full and being COLD. hooray! Instructions were super easy and worked like a charm. 10/10 would buy again.

I loved the idea of this and it worked great for a couple of weeks but after two weeks the overflow cover lost all suction and no longer works, which is a huge bummer :(. Otherwise, it is amazing and worked great for the first two weeks. I'm hoping I can try and find a way to get the suction back, or I'll try and find a version that lasts a little longer and doesn't lose suction.
