This is a great flavor boost in tomato sauce for Italian dishes. Yes, you can add your own basil, garlic, and oregano - and I do add more, but the flavors are already infused for a good start. Hunt's tomato sauces have been a staple in our kitchen for years. They have enough sodium already that I rarely add any more. This sauce is also adaptable to the addition of fresh herbs for added flavor zing. I can rely on the consistency when using as part of a base for sauces, soups, or casseroles.

I love these little cans of sauce. They are great when you are just making something for one person, or if you are having frozen mozzarella sticks. Good price, I love the spices and taste. It is just perfect in consistency- not too thick or thin.

Small can. Not too salty or sweet. Good consistency for a canned product. Works great in a condiment fashion for stuffed cabbage or fried cheese sticks.

I am an Italian Chef, and I swear this sauce is delicious. I wish it came in a bigger can. I use this when I make Braciole. Sauté with minced carrots and onions.

This subs well for a tasty and affordable keto-friendly pizza sauce. I simmer with a little crushed red pepper, fresh garlic and some other herbs if I have them on hand, but the infused herbs already give the sauce a nice flavor as is. It reduces slightly with heat to give a thicker consistency for the pizza without the need to add tomato paste. Pre-made keto pizza sauce is expensive and this sauce tastes great for under a buck.
