TAJ Kashmiri Chili Powder 7oz Deggi Mirch Lal Mirch Chili Peppers, Spicy Red Chilies

I am very pleased with this TAJ Kashmiri Deggi Mirch spicy red peppers. This ground pepper has a very nice rich vibrant red color. It is a joy to cook with because it is not super hot, and I find myself sprinkling it on things to get that spicy depth to things without the overwhelming peppery vibe. This comes in a plastic bag that is not resealable so you'd have to have a canister or container ready in order to store this sealed. But, all in all, I am very pleased with the quantity and quality of this.

Love this spicy red chili powder! 7 oz is a lot of chili powder! This is an earthy, spicy powder that adds great flavor to veggies and seafood dishes.

This is a huge bag of ground chili peppers so be prepared to get a container (or a few) to store this in once you open it. I always have glass jars for things like this so I have it divided up into a few reasonable sized glass, air tight jars to keep it fresh and to have it in a good size container for a spice.It is flavorful and red - I actually checked ingredients to see if they added any artificial coloring because it did color the foods more than other spices. No artificial colors in the ingredients though. Just Kashmiri Powder.If you cook with spices like this a lot - or want to share it with someone else - go for it. You get a lot and it has a nice flavor. Not a lot of heat for those who don't like things very spicy but want the flavor. I would have loved it to be real spicy because I like the heat but that isn't what it is.

This has a nice fragrance and taste. It's not hot chili so if you want heat that would need to be added separately. Use this where you'd use paprika but want a touch more zing.

I cook a lot of Indian dishes so I decided to try adding this chili powder to my spice collection. The color is a beautiful, vibrant reddish orange. It's ground very fine, with no large chunks. It has a nice rich bold chili flavor, with just a bit of heat. I can see this being used in recipes, and also as a way add spicy heat to a dish that needs it. You get a nice amount in the package, so it should last me quite a while.

This review is for the TAJ Kashmiri deggi mirch. This is a nice, finely ground chili powder with a bright red color and a mild heat. This is excellent for Indian food but I could see this also being used where you might use a paprika powder. It’s nicely fragrant and smells and tastes fresh. I do wish it came in either a resealable bag or a flip-top container because once it’s open, you have no way to close it again. Nevertheless, this is a good ground spice for cooking with a good flavor.

This is some pretty tasty chili powder.It's not too hot, so you can dial in the amount of spice you want.I was surprised by how very, very red it is. I usually use cayenne and this seems to make the food MUCH more red.

You can smell the richness of this spice in the package. It's finely grinded and use for soups or add as a topping for foods. I recommend this spicy chili peppers.
