The first Mixer from Orient Electric (A CK Birla Group Company) delivered by Amazon is Very Noisy and there was leakage in the Jars. Moreover, one of the screws in the Chutney jar were also not properly fixed and was damaged. One of the screws in the Chutney jar was badly damaged and its head is totally disfigured to the extent that no screw driver can be used on the damaged screw in future to loosen or tighten it for any reason. Hence, I've sought for a replacement hoping that at least M/s. Cloudtail will exercise caution and replace it with a "Quality Check" passed product. But to my utter dismay, the replaced one is far more worse. Not only the chutney jar screw is improperly fixed, its head is also totally damaged. Moreover, the screw itself is positioned in a slanted position and hence is not been fixed fully. Apart from that, the stainless steel bottom of the jar is also very badly dented and damaged to the extent that it is not fit for use. Further, there is leakage in the other jars as well. All these show the naked truth that Orient Electric is deliberately manufacturing such sub-standard products without subjecting the same to the "Quality Checks" thinking that we the Indian Customers are fools and will blindly purchase any unfit product sold by them. Since, the Chutney Jar is always having manufacturing defects, one has to treat this as a 2 Jar Mixer Grinder only. This fact also prove that customers can no longer place any reliance on the products manufactured by Orient Electric or any of the CK Birla Group Companies. So, M/s. Cloudtail has to accept responsibility for its failure to check the products before packing the same for delivery. It will be good if M/s. Amazon & Cloudtail arranges for the replacement of the defective Chutney Jar alone instead of replacing the entire product. Otherwise, the Amazon Customers have no option except to return the product and getting the refund. Further, one has to put one hand always on top of the jar lids. If you do not hold your hand and put pressure on the lids, the lids will come out and the contents will spill all over. Orient has to make improvements in this area also apart from putting the all important "Quality Checks" in its place immediately without any further loss of time.

Initially I was confused about its quality. The mid range and lower range mixer grinders have similar design and same features. So I was confused and finally settled on it. After using it for few weeks I think it can do its job nicely. The motor is noisy but not abnormally noisy. The jars are sufficiently thick and blades are tough. The jars are easy to clean. After use i add some water and 1 drop of liquid detergent. The run it 1-2 pulses, throw away the soap solution and wash it under tap. Motor is enough powerful to grind some tough masala like cinnamon. But motor is actually a two speed motor, the lowest speed is achieved by use of a half wave rectifier. The pulse mode is full speed. It could be better if a 3 speed motor was provided. I have previously used a Bajaj gx 7 mixer grinder that had a true 3 speed motor and pulse mode was half wave rectified. The jar blade shaft rides on bronze bushes, those need to be lubricated with light machine oil once a year for longevity.
