The Children's Bible in 365 Stories: A Story for Every Day of the Year

I took this book to present it to my friend's kid. Wonderful Product.

Even though it's a Children's Bible, I love to go through it ,myself every now and then. The stories are very maturely told and the illustrations are a rare treat to the eye! I believe that illustrations help in arresting the attention of the child and in keeping them engrossed in reading and wanting to move through the pages over and again.5 stars to the publisher, story writer and illustrator... This book deserves the pride of place in your study/library or prayer room. Every Christian child needs a book like this to introduce him to the bible convincingly. As a parent, I'm very very happy with the contents and quality of the book.

Verrrrrrrrrrrry fast delivery!!!!! Came 1 week before the estimated delivery date! About the book, Mary batchelor's children's Bible was my first Bible when I was a kid! It's a very well written, most eloquent book covering almost the entire Bible, suitable for kids from 3rd grade to 7th grade.. with beautiful pictures. the original book had high quality, thick glossy papers. I wanted to get one for my kid.. However this book on amazon.in is copy of that original book. The pages aren't glossy. That was a bit of a let down! But again that's what you will get for 450bucks! I was willing to pay even extra for that original book, but couldn't find it!

Good to people interested in Holy spiritual bible

Actually, I bought the copy through amazon as b'day gift for an 11 year old girl, but I already had one for my 7 yr old son and we're just a few stories from the end in only 10 months because he's always asking me to read more than one story at a time :-) I think its also suitable for an adult who is trying to get familiar with the Bible stories. It's written in a mature way, but still easy enough for children with a broad English vocab. to understand. It's covers a lot more stories than most..even gives an overview of the message of the key prophets - so they get a really good overview of the whole bible. Also, I appreciate that the author stays true to the Bible text, and doesn't add as much debatable interpretation as many authors of chidren's bibles. Definitely a good buy.

Perfect book to introduce kids of how it all began. The fact that these true stories are made short and well written support by some awesome pictures makes it a joy for the little ones to read them each day.😇

Amazing writing style, so some for children to understand and comprehend. I recommend it for every home for their children

I bought this for my 7 year old nephew and was so impressed with it that I bought one for myself! Sometimes it’s surprisingly refreshing to just sit down with the Bible and read it from beginning to end and because I never had such a nice Bible as a child, perhaps I’m making up for lost years! Reading the Bible from cover to cover is normally a mammoth task but is made entirely possible by a clever retelling of events. The story of God’s character, holiness and love, shine through on every page and it’s condensed storytelling at its best. This Bible captures all the well known (and many lesser known) stories and weaves them into one continuous account of God’s unfolding plan of salvation for mankind and beyond. The simple narration misses nothing out of the lovely spiritual depth and meaning and it does this better than most story bibles I’ve encountered. The colourful realistic illustrations on every page are a real bonus and help bring it all alive. The language may be more suitable for the slightly older child, probably from ages 7-12 as there are some long words that will need explaining. However, I personally like the fact that it doesn’t dumb the kids down. A beautiful book then, and a real classic that would make a lovely family heirloom; all at a very reasonable price. The only downside..? I was surprised at the lack of presentation page for giving as a gift. It would have been nice to have inscribed the name of my nephew at the front, which would have given the more personal touch. That’s a minor gripe though and the only ‘fault’ I could find.

It tells the story, and then tells where it is found in the bible. I have given these to people to read a story in this book, and then read the story in the real Bible, and a new person will know what is going on. However I do think the Bible is easy to understand anyway without it, but for someone who knows nothing about the Bible it's very helpful to know the basic stories. When I was 19, I picked up an illustrated children's Bible, and then would look at the reference and read it in the real bible. Now I'm 73, and the Bible is still precious to me after reading it for 50 years. Especially in John 6 where Jesus says he that believes in me has everlasting life.
