Joyful fun, smiles impossible to suppress
This is one of the nicest advent calendars. There were zero missing pieces, it's great even for beginners, the scene unfolds with such detail. This one really makes a great gift for all ages and couldn't be more merry in counting down the days until Christmas. The little boxes are well made and I packed it away to enjoy again, year after year to come.

great holiday activity
We love puzzles in our house and work a lot of them. I got this for my daughter to work this season, so we haven't started it yet. I did open one section to check it out and am pretty impressed with it. The pieces are nice size and thick enough that the edges don't bend easily, and they stay together well. The bit of picture I worked looked really good with sharp colors. The back has what we call cheat numbers on the pieces which in this case will be helpfully as she works the sections. From what I can tell after doing my check it section this advent puzzle is going to be fun to work and is well worth the cost.

Fun idea for puzzles
I've seen these advent puzzles listed and like the idea but was worried how the quality would be. Now, I want to save these for the season so I can't verify everything but I did a couple sections as a test. After starting that, I am looking forward to this season to do these. Each section only takes a few minutes so it won't be so difficult that way but after if done as a regular puzzle will also be fun. Mostly though, I was surprised at the quality. No puzzle dust, and the pieces snap together really well and hold (picking up by the edge will lift most of the section). There are both pros and cons to these, with the numbers on the back and the way the sections are sorted. The small chunks make it really easy and for those who need the numbers help as a clue to location (I generally really dislike the numbers, but it does help put back into the correct boxes after). The big box has each of the little boxes by number and that matches up to the section of the puzzle too (section 4 is lower left in the main box, and is the lower left corner) so you know what part of the pic to match it up to. I like the challenge so I won't be going by that, and you may want to adjust the order if you like doing the edges instead as this goes in columns.Picture quality is good too and a nice poster.

Fun early Christmas gift
My wife loves puzzles so what better pre-Christmas gift than a puzzle advent calendar that gives you a section of a larger puzzle to put together each day leading up to Christmas. I'm sure that doing a small section at a time won't be a huge challenge, but the anticipation each day of what part we'll get should be fun. I did open a couple just for review purposes and the pieces are neatly cut and of decent weight. She's a dog lover so the art will certainly appeal as well.

Easy and fun to build
This advent calendar box is intended to take one box at a time starting Dec 1 through 24 to build. But you can build it over and over again. There are 24 boxes, each box holds 42 pieces. Behind every piece is a number that corresponds to a box. What I love about the concept of boxes isn't just you take a box a day but when you have completed the entire puzzle but want to do it again. You can flip over the puzzle and match the numbers to the box. The box is spacious enough yiu can fit all the pieces back in. So this puzzle can be built, taken apart and rebuilt over and over again with ease. It isn't as daunting to have to open a bag of 1008 pieces and take days to sort the edges vs colors or shape of each piece. Here you have 42 pieces at a time to build and it comprises of a section at a time. I love that idea. This design allows younger kids to focus on a box themselves and allows adults to speed build if they want. So many options to enjoy time with family and friends. I particularly love the large size poster because I can frame it. You can always glue the puzzle pieces together and hang it or frame it or turn it over and put it back into the corresponding numbered boxes. So well designed. I need to buy a few more. I simply love puzzles and now I don't have to take nearly as long to build it. And these festive images really make me look forward to the holidays and spending time with family. Thick puzzle pieces, sturdy box, large poster, just loads of fun.

Makes 1000 Pieces Much Easier....
I Love doing puzzles, but sometimes alot of pieces at once takes awhile.I think this is a clever way to be able to do a larger piece puzzle. The picture itself is so cute and has a happy holiday feel. This is fun to do by yourself or with an older kid. It is relaxing and also allows for conversation. The pieces are nice and easily go together. The picture looks good and is clear and detailed. We are almost done with it. Happy with it so far and no missing pieces.

Great Quality Pieces- Splotchy Image
A puzzle advent calendar is perfect for any busy puzzler! 42 pieces per night is very doable within a rectangle space. Each rectangle builds on the next. This puzzle goes top down and then over whereas other puzzles go left to right before going down. I don’t have to worry about finding all of the edge pieces or sorting by color necessarily. I’m doing that with a much smaller portion of the puzzle each night. It comes in a nice dirty puzzle box. So if you want to use it as just a puzzle afterwards, you can keep it in the main box. You could always put the pieces back together in each little small box and use it year after year or gift it to someone else the next year. The numbers on the back make it easy to sort out the pieces. They also give you hints as to which direction the pieces should go.The pieces themselves are great quality. They are sturdy and smooth and the top and bottom images are laminated well together. The cover image is shiny on the face of the puzzle pieces. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is because the image itself seems like it was digitally pieced together rather than one cohesive design. If you look closely at my images, the wreath and garland area is extremely blurry while certain dogs or cats are much more clear and crisp. It’s not a perspective thing in terms of art, because the crisp images seem to be each individual dog face and the part that’s most blurry is the garland and wreath throughout the middle.
