After reading many customer reviews, I figured I needed to order a larger size than the standard recommendation. I ordered XXL, which would have fit perfectly, if I was two of me. Fortunately, returning it cost me nothing--the seller provided a shipping label, so all I had to do was box it up and drop it off at a UPS store.I am male, 5'9" (1.75 m) and 195 lbs (88 hectares) of pear-shaped ectomorphy. Amazon recommended Medium, and I eventually settled on Large, which fits me well. The Medium would have been snug around my perpetual second trimester midsection.I like the aroma of leather, and although some have complained about it, that's just how leather works, particularly suede cowhide. Build a bridge and get over it.This is a robustly made, classy looking coat. The leather is genuine 100% ex-cow, not that polyurethane bonded garbage. The liner is removable, which is good for Southern California where "cold" is 60°F (16 liters). It's rugged, it's comfortable, and it looks great.Sure, it's an inexpensive yet reasonable facsimile of the coat worn by Sheriff Walt Longmire (or, if you're old like me, Ranger Cordell Walker), but this is no costume. With this coat, the Man With No Name would have been called The Man With The Coat. This is a coat for swaggering up to a bar, ordering whiskey in a dirty glass, and demanding to see the man who shot your pa. This is a coat to vex vegans and to show cattle what happens to snitches.If you are wondering whether you should get the coat...you should get the coat.

I'm going to start with my disappointments and get them out of the way first, because they are few and minor. I ordered the coat on December 2, but it didn't ship until Dec 23rd, so 3 weeks from ordering to shipping. I did not order a custom size, so I don't know why it took so long to ship, but I do realize that it was just before Christmas, so that was very possibly a major contributing factor. From shipping to delivery was 2 weeks, which isn't bad considering that it came from Pakistan.I did a lot of research before ordering this, and in comments and reviews I saw the options to order "custom made to measure" from the size drop down menu, but could not actually find that option in the drop down menu. After additional research, I finally decided to just order a standard size. I was not disappointed.This is a beautiful coat and, as far as I can tell, well made. It looks just like the picture, and if the "Longmire" look is what you are going for, this will definitely give you that without having to spend over $3000 for an actual shearling sheepskin one like Longmire actually wore. I have had this coat less than a month, and have received numerous compliments on it.As I said, I did a lot of research before ordering from here, and looked at several other websites. This was most expensive site, but also, it was the only one that gave a choice of linings. In questions and comments, there was some confusion as to whether or not the linings were removeable. I opted for the fiberfill, for colder weather, and this lining IS removeable. I cannot confirm whether the other ones are.I saw complaints about an offensive odor. I did not experience this. I actually expected a stronger leather smell than there was.PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE SIZE CHART IN THE PICTURES! NOT THE SIZE CHART BESIDE THE DROPDOWN SIZE SELECTION MENU!!! All of my shirts, other jackets/coats, etc. are XL. I have a 49 inch chest, which would put me at a 3XL by their size chart. Many comments/reviews said that sizes run small, so I crossed my fingers and ordered a 4XL. The 3XL would have probably been a perfect fit to wear as it came from the seller, but the 4XL is just a little large, even with the liner in it. This worked out perfectly for me, since it allows a little more room to layer underneath the coat in really cold weather. When wearing my insulated vest under the coat, it fits perfectly.Just turned 61, plan on going into retirement in a year, and travelling the country in a motorhome. I wanted something compatible with my style of dress that would be versatile for all climates, and durable enough to, hopefully, be the last winter coat that I will need to buy. So far, I think that I have gotten exactly what I wanted. I LOVE THIS COAT!!!

First with the good. The coat is heavy, comfortable, stylish and warm. I ordered it with the fiberfil lining and it has kept me warm during the Wyoming winter even when it has dropped down to below 40. The cow sued appears to be decent quality and it's soft. The issues are with other areas of the coast. Inside both front pockets ripped within the first month. Whatever material they use for the pockets and the stitching is just too thin to handle even your phone in the pocket over time. The holes in both pockets grew so large they became unusable. I've read another review on here with the same issue. The next issue came with the inside pocket at the chest. This pocket did not rip, but the zipper broke after a few uses of keeping my wallet in it. Because of the issues with the pockets I had to return the coat. If they just made the pockets with thicker material and better zippers it would be a 5 start coat.

It was a bit hard to determine size, but I went with the standard X-Large Brown with Fiber fill. I'm 6'2" slim 185, waist 36, shoulders are 19". The sleeves are long, and I have long arms, which is rare and much appreciated. The detail and heavy-duty construction were impressive. The removable fiber fill liner adds body to the coat, which probably isn't an issue anyway, and makes it perfect for year-round wear.Amazing coat.
