Battery is terrible, charges to 100 then drops down within 5 minutes to 50 then drops to 20 then dies. Wouldn’t recommend

Bought this for xmas 2024 for my Grandson so its hasn’t been used daily its been a great tablet til now, it wont turn on & keep getting a warning sign

Good tablet sound not the best but I'm happy

This tablet is really not too bad for its price. Definitely budget tablet since inside hardware is not the fastest however does the job. Tablet arrived with rubber case and screen protector already applied which is fantastic, all producents should follow same example, not only it solves problem for end consumer but also protects device during transit. Huge plus for that. Then tablet comes with cable and power adapter which is not seen anymore. Tablet itself looks amazing, very modern and great design, thin build and feels durable in hand. Camera on back is big and pictures and decent, not the best but considering it is only 8MP on the back and 8MP on the front, it is really good. When comes to using tablet, it is not the fastest, every day tasks might require a bit of patience, opening and closing apps, downloading and installing takes a time. I tried to play Diablo immortal on it and it is playable on lowest possible settings and still framerate is a bit low. This tablet looks like been made for kids where they can watch youtube, play not demanding games on it. Any heavy task would be a kill for this tablet. Despite all of that, price is justified and if you consider £68 price tag, it is not that bad all of the sudden.

I've been quite surprised at the performance and specifications of this tablet considering its price. We've had tablets costing far more which would only have half the RAM and internal storage, which often meant they would freeze and terminate programs suddenly after prolonged use. I'm not too well versed in how the specifications work but it seems to have 4GB of hardware RAM and another 4GB of virtual RAM, which utilizes the internal storage. My experience with virtual RAM is that it's not very reliable, but the 4GB of hardware RAM is more than enough for web browsing, watching videos and playing games. It's even enough for a decent amount of multi-tasking as well. The internal storage is not too bad to get you started with plenty of apps and some photos and videos, and it can accept microSD cards if you want to expand it further. The internal storage doesn't seem slow and the start-up time of the tablet is not bad at all either. I was surprised that the tablet has a bit of heft and thickness to it - it certainly isn't the slimmest tablet around but it also feels very nice in the hands. The bezel is a little big when compared with other modern tablets but once you're using it, you don't notice it as much at all. The tablet is decently snappy and the battery life is quite good as well. It's able to handle light games, drawing apps and video playback without any problems. When navigating around the UI, it doesn't get choppy and start freezing suddenly which is an issue I've had with lots of cheaper tablets. It doesn't get overly warm either which is great. However, if there was an area of the tablet that didn't impress me as much, it's probably the screen - the resolution isn't too high considering its size which gives it a bit of a fuzzy quality to it. It's still absolutely fine for watching videos and web browsing, but certain web pages with lots of elements and small text might not look detailed enough. It reminds me of tablets that I used to have many years back - perfectly reasonable, especially considering its price, but nothing too special. Setup was mostly straightforward since it's using Android, however the tablet had a very difficult time initially connecting to my router and maintaining a stable connection too. It caused the device setup to be delayed by many days (I could still use the tablet fine, but I kept getting prompts to finish setup which would then fail). Strangely, after a couple days it seemed to sort itself out and I've not had a connection problem since. I've spent over a month with it now and been using it daily and I'd say that in many areas, this tablet is on par with ones that cost twice as much. For a tablet that costs less than £80, I'm very impressed with it.

The first impressions of umidigi G2 tablet is it looks like Amazon fire 10. It packs all the functions of tablet except without sim for wireless networks. It comes with screen protector and protective case which I don't need to look for. Wall charger and type C cable is also included. The position of the power button is located above the volume buttons which mimic the pixel devices. Andriod 13 was installed with 8G ram and 64G storage. There is a slot beside the charging port for microSD I inserted a unused 32 G microSD to expand the storage. Need restart then it recogonizes it. The ram and storage are good enough for web browsing, YouTube. But cannot compare with pixel book or iPad as it is just a budget device for kids or parents. I found it has 2 speakers at the bottom which produces good sounds. I only need set to 1/3 of volume to listen everything. Watching YouTube has no problem without lagging. The app comes with are all mostly google apps which what I am familiar with. The camera has labelled as AI camera. I tested it produces average quality of picture but cannot expect too much with budget device. One feature I like is taking pictures on dark. It will turn on the flash before taking the picture so the outcome is better than other budget device. The selfie camera is also average. The battery is okay and it should last for a few hours of active usage with fully charged. I purchased it for watching stocks and finance news as I don't want to use my work laptop as compare can trace which site I visited. I might consider buying another for my parents because they used for watching YouTube. It is not recommend for people looking for high performance tablet but it is well suited for kids and people who need basic functions. At the end I still give 5 stars because it is well positioned as budget device and I had the coupon applied when purchased.
