We wanted a rack mounted HDMI splitter for our house of worship and this unit was reasonably priced. We send the Media Shout HDMI feed to this splitter and then out to two projectors, a rear wall mounted TV and (soon) to a second computer monitor. We ran two Aurum Pro 100 foot uni-directional HDMI cables with in line amplifiers to the projectors. It is our understanding that the power for the in line amplifiers is sent down the HDMI cable much like Power Over Ethernet (POE). We were concerned that this unit would not put out enough amperage down the HDMI cable to power the Aurum Pro in-line amplifiers. So far this unit is able to power and send signals succesfully over 100 feet of HDMI cabling with in- line amplifiers. To be clear, the in-line signal amplifiers are part of our cabling system and not included with this splitter. Time will tell about reliability. Splitters will default to the lowest common resolution of all connected devices which, in our case, was Full HD (1920 X 1080). The HDMI connections are at the rear of the device as depicted. There is a front mounted power switch. You must attach the side mounts for the rack mounting using four screws on each side (supplied). There are also dip switches for audio/video selections which I did not use.Update: Setting the dip switches to force the splitter to 1080p ch. 2.0 (0 0 1 0) has increased the reliability and usability of the system.

So far this unit is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. Taking one HDMI input (in this case a PC) and sending the signal to 12 monitors (the unit supports 16 outputs but we are only using 12). I have had no sync issues and it has worked every time. I am not dealing with any copyrighted material so can't speak to any HDCP issues nor have I needed to mess with any EDID management. But for connecting one HDMI source to a bunch of displays this thing has worked flawlessly.

I have tried multiple times to get this HDMI splitter to work. I have other smaller splitters that work with no issues. I didn’t try this one right away due to having an extremely busy schedule the last two months. Over the last week I have been unsuccessful in trying to get this to work. For as much money as you’re spending you would expect it would work. I’m extremely disappointed would never do business with this company

Unit worked exactly as expected. However it’s worth noting that it’s not quite a standard U for rack mounting so only one of the two holes will line up in the rack.

I haven’t even turned it on yet and I’m disappointed. You pay $170 for a Rack-Mountable HDMI splitter and it doesn’t even take a standard 1U Size, you can only get one pair of screws in so you have to choose weather you want them in the bottom or in the top, very disappointing.Besides that I’m a huge fan of a HDMI Splitter that is actually rack mountable with the HDMI ports on the back, that was the deciding factor for me to purchase this system. I will update this review when I get everything installed and tested

I run karaoke. I rarely need more than three connections. However I like that this device is rack mountable and that a light goes on for any port attached to a devixe.

This item is a complete waste of time and energy. Not only did it not power, but it doesn’t switch outputs. It displays nothing. The “instructions” might as well have said, don’t read us, we won’t help. Honestly just a piece of garbage and I seriously hope you don’t buy this expecting to do ANYTHING but waste your time, energy, and money. Totally useless and I wish I could have my time back for the time spent on this worthless piece of crap.

Works perfect for the project at hand. My A/V guy had me buy a couple of them and everything is connected and working well.

This is a great HDMI splitter, It was definitely more than what I needed but the price was good for a 4k splitter and the audio out SPDF output was critical for me. With this splitter I stream on 6 4K monitors with high res audio without any issues at all, it works about 9 am to 6 pm everyday non stop, it does not overheat or give any issues over the long run, and it is very easy to check if the signal is working with the green LED's on the front of the splitter.
