Lovely book to have
It is the unabridged edition ! We have loved this book. I already had the abridged edition but couldn't resist buying the original version when it was available on Amazon. It is a joy to read Richard Scarry's books.

excelente

A childhood favourite
I remember having this book when I was young, so reliving it 35 years later is a treat. I love how it shows how things work at every level throughout the town! Yes it's a bit dated, but my 3 year old loves me reading different chapters to her each night.

Beautifully detailed book explaining how the world works.
One of our favourite books - fantastically detailed drawings & answers to many a child's questions to how the world works (building roads & houses, how trains and planes and the postal service works, electricity, paper-making, farming, etc.) Go for the older 90 page version as it has more stories - no idea why the newer editions are down to 60 pages.
