15 years on Shimano Clipless Pedals, and an instant convert to these
For 15 years I rode clipless exclusively, in all terrain. I love the way clipless lets me use my hamstrings to pull the pedals up with one led while I press the pedal down woith the other leg. Horsepower. Plus, I can pop my cleat out of a clipless pedal as fast as I can move my shoe off a flat pedal. So why change? I bought another mountain bike to train on in bed weather on the street. It came with excellent flat/spiked pedals, so I rode with those. Loved the flat platform. Really nice control, too. So I thought I would order some for my excellent mountain bike and give them a try. I selected these Fookers because they are essentially RaceFace Chesters, and because they had lots of reviews with a 4.5 star average. When they arrived NEXT DAY (love you, Amazon), I opened the box and exclaimed "Wow!". They look like anodized aluminum, have excellent heft to them, and are very, very good looking. Tier 1 quality, fer sher. So I removed my SPD's and installed these fookers, and took her for a 4 1/2 hour off-road evaluation. Let me say this: I rode down the most intimidating slope of my life yesterday, a slope that I would never have even looked at riding clipless... Lots of steep descents, lots of fast switchbacks, damp trails and zero errors on these pedals. If you are a clipless rider, especially an MTB rider, make yourself happy and buy a set of these. You will love them immediately, and I do mean I M M E D I A T E L Y. Then take them to your favorite trails and get busy. You will be sore the next morning. I was, sore in my quadriceps from the lack of hamstring action, and kind of sore in my upper/back rib cage. The rib cage soreness was probably from the extra 1 1/2 hour I spent in the saddle (WTB Rocket - all day comfort there), and the quads were sore because I had to use them more to make up for no clips to pull my bike around with my hamstrings. But that's cool. My quads will adapt quickly, and you will love the control. My feet never slipped off a pedal, not one single time. And when I did need to get my foot on a pedal quickly, the power can be applied instantly because you will not have to search for the clamp to grip your cleat. All you do is place your foot on the pedal and boom! you have ignition. So there you have it - great pedal by Fooker, wonderful transition and top notch quality, with spare studs and a spare washer, too. Installation was about 60 seconds, removing the old and installing the new. Add 30 seconds putting some grease on the threads and you are into about three minutes of total labor :) I did give every stud a little tightening with what looked like a 2 or 3mm allen wrench. All were snug, but I did want some snug+. Love the pedals, boys. Note - buy the needle bearings for MTB. Most pedals for sale here have spherical bearings (ball bearings). Needle bearings have longer lives and give better overall service. Jerry Davis OP Schnabel - The Dark Side

Perfect Pair of Pedals for any rider
Get these pedals for your bike! These pedals are perfect upgrades to any bikes (unless you prefer clipless pedals) and will improve your cycling experience. Fookers are light and grippy, giving me the confidence to ride through any bumps or send it on any jumps. They look sleek with minimal branding, giving your bike a subtle edge. For the value, there are no pedals that beat the Fookers, don't think twice and just try them out.

Low price but very functional
I purchased 2 sets of the needle roller bearings (1x Red and 1x green) back in 2022 and threw them on two Northrock XC 27 bikes purchased from Costco. They have held up great! One pedal on my bike had to get tightened back after a while but otherwise they held up great! Fast forward to 2026, we purchased new bikes specifically for commuting in the city and we decided to keep the original sets of pedals on the old bikes as we sell them and got 2 new sets of the 3-bearing ones (1x yellow and 1x orange). I can't exactly tell the difference between the two bearing styles but I read that 3-bearing should be better. The first set of the yellow pedals I got had a defect on the threading. You are supposed to be able to screw the pedals in by hand all the way, then use a tool to tighten them. The defect caused it to stop halfway and I didn't want to force it with a tool at the risk of damading the threading on my crank arm. Luckily I was able to get a replacement the next day and it was fine. I'm not going to knock a star because manufacturing defects happen and I was taken care of quickly. I know these pedals are a knock-off of the real deal and they have a funny sounding name but they have been pretty good for commuting to work and riding around the city. They provide better footing and grip than the cheap pedals that come with some bikes.

All good but red color is not very red
Definite improvement over stock pedals as far as comfort and grip is concerned. I ordered the red needle bearing version ... install was a cinch. Color red is a burgundy color and not a bright fire truck or stop sign red as I had hoped. ...everything else is great - haven’t had long enough to comment on durability but these appear to be very solid and well made.

These replaced an old set of basic metal pedals with a splash of color
I bought the newer red spindle ones which stated they were longer lasting. Removed my old mountain bike pedals and replaced with the fookahs (be sure you check the left and right sides). Used a crescent wrench to tighten them onto the bike's crank and took a test ride. The screws on these pedals can be felt through my trail running shoes soles and they grip like nobody's business. Just hope that you don't slip off the pedal and it accidentally gets stopped by your shin (someone else posted an aftermath picture of this). These exposed screws could be replaced with shorter screws or removed entirely if you just want a flat pedal. I've been using these for over a month and no complaints. I ended up buying red Oury grips to match these red Fookah pedals.

Half the price of the Race Face branded pedal.
I almost bought the Race Face Chester but glad I came across these. They are reasonably light, thin, and seem to take hits pretty well. After doing some wet and muddy rides, one of the pedals was not spinning as smoothly as the other. The pedal was easy to disassemble and relube and it is like new again. I have about 40 rides on these with some good rock hits and the pins are all straight and grippy. You really can't go wrong with these especially at this price. Update: I've been riding these for well over a year now and they still ride like new. I disassembled them again recently and gave them a good cleaning and lube and they spin perfectly. Somehow all of the pins are totally straight even though I have hit loads of rocks with them. I am going to order a pair for my new bike as well. Another update: after many years of riding, these are still cranking out the miles. Many of the pins are bent now but they are still intact. The bearings are awesome and they spin just like they are new. The pedals don’t look as pretty as new but I have given them a beating. Note the color change of the newer red version. The old one was a darker red and the newer ones are closer to orange. I prefer the darker red.

Color ✅, A Chester copy ✅, and cheaper ✅
Some nice mother fookers! Nice pedals so far after hitting the dirt jumps and downhill runs. Still testing overall durability, but pleased so far with the color, shape, and performance. The pedal might be too small for someone with big feet. I wear a 9 shoe size and they work OK so far.

First one was good, came back for a second one
Does what I need from a pedal. These proved out to be sturdy and "comfortable" to use on my first bike. So when I bought a second hand bike that had horrible small and gripped pedals I did not hesitate to replace them with those.. I clipped few rocks hidden in high grass quite hard (even to the point of crashing), plastic shows a bit of scarring but not much and pedal is still intact.
