Q: Is it normal for these not to be vacuum packed? The lid opened easily.

Should be vacuum packed. Don't eat if it's not.!

Q: When do these expire?

I just checked the open jar in my fridge and it has a "best by" date (in 2025). These are in a brine with vinegar/pickled so they last quite a while. Not sure if they actually "expire". I like them a lot and usually have them on hand whether it's from Amazon or from the store.
