Beautiful glasses; excellent customer service

Arrived quickly in very sturdy packaging. Immediately washed, dried and road tested with chilled Martini (3 parts Beefeater, 1 part Extra Dry Martini, 3 olives and a twist of lemon).Bliss!! Perfect size and adequately robust, I'm sure the glass even made the Martini taste better too!

It took two attempts to get these as the first lot turned up broken (smashed would be more accurate) which was entirely down to the quality of the Amazon packaging process. The glasses were not packed securely with very little padding and there was nothing anywhere to indicate the fragile contents. Thankfully Amazon shipped another set straight-away which were much better packaged and turned up just fine.None of this is a criticism of the product but bear in mind it might take a few goes to get a non damaged set. Amazon really needs to look at how they handle fragile items as it looks like I’m far from the only one this has happened to.Onto the glasses themselves. These are a pair of nice, classic martini glasses. They have a good weight and the glass is obviously of high quality and visually they look great. As an observation they are a little smaller than you might expect (so don’t go looking to serve any huge cocktails in them) but for a classic gin martini they’re just fine. They’re obviously considerably more expensive than an Ikea set but for me they’re worth it as they’re so much better quality. A good buy.

We've had these two months. Used a handful of times. Hand washed them and stored them in a cupboard where we only keep glasses. Went to get one of them out to find this - quite bizarre. Even if it was caught putting it away, for it to sheer straight off the top seems to suggest it was remarkably and unusably fragile in the first place. Disappointing.

Purchased when they had a '50%' reduction in price. Not sure if this is a real reduction or not! Ordered 2 and was pleasantly surprised when 4 glasses arrived - hadn't realised each order was for a pair of glasses. As already described the packaging is totally insufficient and one of the glasses came with a chip in the rim. Sent back and replacements arrived 24 hours later. This was so unneccessary though and both Dartington and Amazon need to sort their packaging strategy out! Saying that - very please with them and the price.

These glasses were a gift. However they were only opened 3 months after purchase to ensure delivery. There is zero safety packaging (none, nada, zilch) for 2 crystal glasses!! No surprise there is a small piece of crystal still in the box from the drinking rim. Turns out that if you haven't checked this inside 1 month then you are stuck with them which is really poor. The glass that isn't broken is very elegant a good size and would be lovely to enjoy a cocktail with someone - but as there is no paper or safety packaging the chances of that happening are slim.
