Usually with a braided belt you just run the prong on the buckle anywhere in the braid, it’s easy, but it does tend to stretch the leather, this belt has reinforced holes for the prong the length of the belt, different, but good looking, and practical! My husband has only had the opportunity to wear it a few times thus far, I hope it hold up well.

I've bought three of these Hilfiger braided belts over the past few years, and they all began to disintegrate after a few months' wear. The problem is the industry-wide use of artificial leather, which is often referred to as "bonded leather" or "PU leather". It's made by grinding up genuine leather and mixing it with polyurethane. The current Amazon ad for this same Hilfiger belt shows it's "90% leather" but if you read the details, they refer to it as "vegetable leather". I love the looks when this product is new, but am switching to 100% genuine leatherr belts from trusted vendors like Timberland.
