Cheap, effective and light
When I ordered this monitor I did not expect the quality I get just now. The monitor comes with a HDMI cable in just one day during the weekend and has a very good speaker for this price, even better than my previous monitor I spent 600 quid couple of years back. the screen is so bright and visible. The screen frequency is also very optimised for human eyes 100 HZ. This is my second monitor for my full tower AMD threadripper pro. I think I can used it sometimes as the first. So if you are browsing to buy an affordable monitor, do not hesitate to buy this monitor. Hesitation is defeat.

It's a good monitor
It was easy to assemble the stand. The picture quality is good. The build quality is good. It has a thin bezel. The speakers aren't great and they aren't very loud, but they are adequate.

Excellent for what I need it for
Excellent monitor for what I need, It’s part of a 3 monitor setup for flight simulator, and to watch YouTube videos etc, apparently it comes with built in sound but I connect my sound through a soundbar so can’t comment on that, The picture is good, the monitor supports 100hz although please be aware out the box its native at 60hz, to run the 100hz I had to change to to 100hz at 1080p, the non native selection, Its the top monitor in the pic, Also recommend nvidia users to go into your nvidia control panel and adjust the colour settings inside there

Crack on bottom left of monitor.
Idk why I didn’t notice this, but there’s a crack on the bottom left. I definitely did not cause this and I have no idea why it came like that and what has caused this small little crack in the corner

PHILIPS 24E1N1100A - 24 Inch
Value for money, excellent. Inside the box there is only one HDMI cable, so if you need to use the VGA port, you need to get the cable. The monitor is light and the bezels are very thin, this makes it easy to move. It works well, even for gaming, it has a very low response time. For now I recommend it, we will see how it behaves over time.

Defects straight out the box. Phillips has let me down.
I ordered this monitor after Christmas as a late gift, and it arrived with a frustrating defect. While it powers on, the screen has visible static lines running across it, similar to the lines you might see on a damaged phone screen. For a brand-new monitor, this is completely unacceptable. As someone who creates content in the tech space, I rely on reliable and high-quality products. This experience has left me questioning the brand’s quality control. The delivery wasn’t particularly fast either, so to wait only to receive a defective product has been incredibly disappointing. While the monitor technically works, the issue with the screen makes it unusable for its intended purpose. The fact that it arrived this way also raises concerns about its long-term durability. If it already has visible flaws straight out of the box, how can I trust it to last?I’m debating whether to request a replacement or return it altogether. As a tech content creator, I can’t recommend a monitor that fails on first impressions, even if it’s functional to some degree. Insurance for items like this feels like a waste of money—high-quality products shouldn’t require extra coverage to make up for poor manufacturing standards. This experience has been frustrating and disappointing, and it’s not the start to the new year I hoped for. I’m giving this product 2 stars because while it powers on, the defect is unacceptable for a product at this price. I won’t be recommending this monitor or this brand to my audience.
